  • Guys I am having serious Network issues with Lebara, I have never experienced the lowest quality of network and customer service ever before. All my efforts to resolve any issues with lebara draws blood……. should we be actually promoting this sub standard service on this Forum ? this service is a "SHAM"

    • Hey mate, can you please elaborate more on this? Where are you located and what makes you say the quality of network is poor?
I want a genuine feedback because I'm about to port a few numbers to Lebara in the next few days but if it's shit, then I'll go somewhere else.

      Cheers!

I live in Mernda and I travel to the city everyday in train, I have another work phone which is on Optus and I never have an issue with them. Lebara voice quality is low and the Data quality and speed is not consistant. I checked with Lebara in august about issues of network at my home and they said work was under progress and directed me to vodafone website.

        https://www.vodafone.com.au/network/upgrades

If you check the vodafone website and doesnt matter what suburb you are in, I checked 4 suburbs and all of them say they have a issue, I think its misleading and Lebara is using this statistics to tell me that it will be ok when the work is finished and close the ticket. They CLOSE THE TICKET…. why the hell would you close the ticket without resolving or checking with the customer ?

I have purchased a year worth of plan and I will complain to the ombudsmen and exit this service. I hope others have a similar experience and can share so I can confirm I am not the only one.

      • Hey bro I live in Perth metro and I've been on this plan with Lebara for 3 months now.I ported my number over from Optus as I was having issues with shit signal strenght and I have never looked back.Lebara has been awesome to me and hey at this price and with all the free included International calls I'm calling my cuzzy brose back in NZ the Uncle in the US and the ex Mrs in the UK.I can only say good things about Lebara and NO I don't work for them either……….Hey come on now do any of you fullas know a Kiwi that actually works………

    • Please share your experience here, they have rep on ozbargain

It's the Voda network, both me and the Mrs have had nothing but excellent service. Do you live in a remote area or have a weird phone?

      • -1

I have a iphone 6s and I live in Mernda. Cant say its remote coz I have a work phone on Optus and works seamlessly. I tried switching the phones but no luck. I reported issues with the service since I boght it in August, nothing has changed.

I've had great service all the way from Portsea to the Gold Coast by car, on a Moto g5 plus, and all over Victoria. I don't work for Lebara, if I had substandard service I would say so.

I was on an Optus MVNO before and I couldn't get data on the train. Switched to Lebara (Vodafone network) and it works fine now.

I think it's all about congestion. If everyone else on your train is using Vodafone then you'll suffer and will be better off with the less popular network.

  • Anything plans similar to this on non vodafone network?

      Mr. Google is your friend.

      • -3

Yeah I could sift through the multiple providers, try and work out which network they use and look for a similar plan - might take 30mins - 1hr… Or I could ask for a simple recommendation which has taken me 1 min to type and probably less then 15 seconds for someone in the know to reply to… Time management my friend, time management!

  • I'd say take your call, choose a plan, experience the network on a short duration and only then make a long commitment. My experience is bad with Lebara, they dont have a APP, well their app is rubbish and doesnt give any info ( primitive ) and try calling their customer service and see how you go ! on by the way, try telling them you are having reception issues. They will never register your call unless you specifically ask for a reference number to the conversaiton, a couple of times I got given a reference that didnt exist when I checked on the next call.

why do you need an app?? There really is no need for an app with this plan ………with unlimited National calls/SMS?MMS Unlimited International calls?SMS?MMS 16GB of data every 30 days it's insane value here
I've been on this plan for 3 months now and had zero issues with service

  • Will an existing user be able to buy a 180 day voucher instead of even buying the SIM?

  • -1

Not a single comment from Team Lebara on the issue of bad service I have been rambling about, what does that tell ? No customer service, no initiative to resolve customer issues, what you pay is what you get. I am getting out !!

  • I wonder if they will put this out cheaper in the next few weeks. I bought it at $99 last time :|

      Hi there,

The 99 deal is back, but only valid for new customers.

      • Only for new customers???

        • +1
