Be aware KD75X8500F is an IPS panel. These have the best viewing angles but inferior black.
However most computer monitors are IPS and are preferred for that task. Great for motion.
I for one like IPS screens.

Pretty sure the x90f is a later model with better picture quality then this older model.
X90f is a va panel vs x85f which is ips. Both are latest models. You need to sit pretty much in front of va panels. Not so good for families. X85F is good for families imo all round for gaming sports and viewing angles.

The x90f and 85f both came out this year, so they're the same generation so to speak.
But you're right the x90f is direct-lit LED with a better processor whilst the x85f is edge lit.
These look fantastic when the room is lit, but when it gets dark you can really tell the backlighting. I had an IPS for a few years and wasn't great for movies for me as I watch them with the lights off.
