  • Gorgeous knitwear, but you have to be model thin to wear it I found!

I noticed on their website it says 10% off for VIP members (which you can become online). Does this work on the sale prices?

    • Yes, they do great slim-fitting clothes. I love their suits and shirts.

      No, you can't stack discounts.

Damo, you should shop at Lowes then.

        • Who said anything about Lowes? You are deluding yourself if you think Saba is anything but a bog standard mall brand with a ridiculous mark-up by world standards. Made in China clothes with poor construction and even poorer materials. Suits are cheap and nasty glue jobs, and look bad in their photos and worse in person. They don't even bother producing new designs anymore, instead churning out the same tired looks year after year.

I can empathise if you've got no option but to buy clothes in Australia, but commenters are right to call Saba (and other junk like yd, Tarocash, Politix, Marcs etc.) overpriced and lacking in variety. Clothing retailers in Australia are the pits.

    • yeah some stuff is nice, not all, but they are way over[riced for what they are.

  • 25% off all ready overpriced clothes…

  • Is this for instore and online?

  • 111$ for a v-neck sweater….that's insane. (was 150$).

asos is cheaper with a whole host of brands too. not a bargain at all.

also looked at their jackets and vests, you can buy a whole suit for those prices, quality brand too.

alamodey: Um, WTF? What's wrong with wearing Target as beater clothing to do work around the house? And pretty much all the stuff I wear to work or socially is made in Italy, Australia, France, Belgium, the US, the UK or Japan by genuine fashion labels rather than high street stuff like Saba. Why would I buy Saba when I get designer clothes at a similar price overseas? (Recent example was a Dior Homme suit, fully canvassed and Made in Italy from Super 120's wool for $650 on sale at Sak's Fifth Avenue in San Francisco. Why would I pay a similar price for a Made in China Saba glue-job?)

      • There is a SABA outlet in alexandria where you can pick up suits for $120.

Why would you pay $650 for Dior Homme?! It's nothing more than a glorified Topman. shakes head

        • You voted positive on this deal, so you clearly think it's a good deal at 25% off. $523.50 (including the 25% discount) for a SABA suit is laughable.

I couldn't care less if you like wearing SABA, but I think you're out of line for belittling people (for supposedly lacking fashion sense) for merely saying that the prices on the SABA website are overpriced.

      • You're jumping to conclusions here, how am I "clearly" thinking $523.50 is a good deal for a suit, maybe I was upvoting for a shirt? Paying $650 for a "designer" suit with a label on it is laughable. Lawyered.

It's ALL overpriced at Saba — shirts, suits, sweaters. $111.75 for a SABA shirt is a good deal, seriously? When for a little bit more you can get a bespoke shirt, made to measure by Australian tailor from Italian fabrics, that'll fit you perfectly unlike anything you can buy off the rack?

And no, I didn't pay $650 just for the label. My primary concern is quality; in fit, construction and fabric. I bought it because it's a fully canvassed suit that'll better hold it's shape, rather than a much cheaper to make glued/fused suit that'll warp over time. I bought it because of the high standard of workmanship, as evidenced by the hand basting. I bought because it's made from high grade Super 120's wool. I bought it because it's Made in Italy rather than Made in China. I bought it because the slim cut fitted me perfectly. The same suit costs $4000+ at Assin (http://www.assin.com.au) in Australia, which just shows how ridiculous the mark-up is in Australia at both the lower and higher ends of the market.

Yeah, because it's made from Italy it's instantly better than anything from China…

  • Does this apply at myer/DJs as well?

    • Yes it does, don't think you'll find SABA in Myer.
