Technically it's an advertisement for them.

Groupon and group buy websites have been around long enough for them to know the downfalls.
It's a form of advertising and advertising costs money, it's part and parcel of running a business and always has been. This is just a more recent method to bring in new business.
it puts people in the seats or shops. if they make nothing at all or lose some, its still okay.
Not to many customers will walk in to an empty restraunt or shop.
My purchase was $3.32 after the coupon but the cashback only tracked as 41c (~12.5%). I went though the shopback app so it should have been 20% :-/

The maximum $40 discount applies to the Groupon coupon code discount itself, the cashback itself isn't capped.

i know SB will always (or most of the time) fixed issues if we reported them, but to be honest CR has less issue.
SB, you really should hire more programmers and do testings before releasing codes. cant be that hard to do random tests? make sure the code working, the % is correct, etc.
Which costs more $$ meaning lower rewards for us!

Why does the discount not change for multiple quantities of the same item?
My discount is remaining the same for 1 item or for 4 of the same.

As listed in Groupon's terms the code only works on one item at a time. You'll need to checkout in separate transactions. Remember to click through ShopBack again each time you're making a new transaction.

I've noticed when I call the company for additional information and I say "going to buy through groupon" 90% of them are like…. don't buy through groupon, just pay when you get here". Thinking groupon charges them alot if a customer pays online.
Groupon take about 33-35% from what I have been told so fair enough as it is already a significant discount already. Many dont realise we that get additiinal discounts through groupon and cashback site though
Most of the businesses only get a few return customers through groupings either.
