Corded.. recommend people invest in either a reasonable 2 stroke or with the recent liion sales go cordless.

    • Pretty new in this. Are they better than cordless? Do they use much power?

      • has the same power as a kettle 2400w

      • Do you mean better than corded or 2 stroke? I found the 2 stroke more hassle because it could be weeks in between using mine and the oil/fuel would clog the motor and that was the end of that. With cordless there pretty much isn't anything to worry about.

I agree with @mit. Cordless has instant start. Lighter weight so easy on body. Make sure u get two battery packs to switch in case u got a larger yard. But I admit I miss the power of petrol.

I wouldn't get corded, it's annoying to drag along a cord. Then recoil the cord and pack away and repeat.

          Says Cartman :P

          • @m9: I'm not fat. I'm festively plump!

        • Might depend on your yard. I have used the $149 corded Ozito mower for about a year and just recently got the corded 800 watt trimmer. The mower is great, very light, but has decent power - I often let my grass go long (up to a foot high) and it copes with it fine. The trimmer is reasonable, but the supposed auto line advance can get stuck, but it's no big deal to stop and manually untangle it. Also it's a little heavy or too nose heavy so should have got the lighter one that's in this deal. Still much lighter than my Honda 4 stroke one.

In my yard handling the cord is fine - you work out how to mow without having to move it much. Id rather have a decent cordless, but they're far more expensive and heavier.

      • It could just be me, but I am a bit nervous around electrical cords. Have been electrocuted a couple of times and now try to avoid live current as much as possible

If you lift the cut of the mower up you can run over the cord.

  • I just stocked up on batteries and a few other Ozito skins last week - I'll wait till the cordless battery powered blower/line trimmer next comes on sale.

    • You bought batteries on sale?

  • I use mine to cut the grass for my small courtyard and it works well so it depends on your needs. I have a small courtyard directly outside my living room so im not fussed with running a cord. My grass is also not well looked after so it's not very dense which probably makes it easy to cut.

  • don't buy the cheapest trimmer line. I bought some some of the saxon 1.3mm line on special and it is crap. continually breaks within a minute - so frustrating. was only using it for the lawn edge -so it wasn't trimming anything thick or tough

bought some of the thicker 2.4 line and it doesn't break.
