My first post, so please be nice :).

The Xbox One S Minecraft Edition is usual $399 for just the console (it is still $449.00 at EB), so at $349 this is a good deal (best since Amazon Prime Day).

And comes with Red Dead Redemption II free ($89.95 value) in the bundle.

Features:

Buy Red Dead Redemption 2 + Xbox One S Minecraft Limited Edition Console

Bundle includes:

• Xbox One S Limited Edition 1 TB Console
• Minecraft Creeper Xbox Wireless Controller
• Full-game download of Minecraft, plus Redstone Pack
• Red Dead Redemption 2 (Disc)
• Xbox One S vertical stand
• 1-month Xbox Live Gold membership
• 1-month Xbox Game Pass trial (new subscribers only)
• 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, 4K video streaming, High Dynamic Range, premium audio

  • There’s also this previously posted deal at JB Hi-FI

  • Yeah i'm just wondering why you would buy this for $349 when you can get the Xbox One S 1TB with not only Red Dead Redemption 2 but also Forza Horizon 4 for even less at $329 from JB Hi-Fi. You see to me it doesn't make any sense. Sure this is a limited edition and ugly coloured Minecraft edition but still it's not as good as a deal. If you buy this instead of the JB Hi-Fi deal for the standard console bundle with those two games thrown in then you might as well hand in your Ozbargain badge.

    • When it comes to console deals, people are more open minded. There are some people who are happy to be informed of console deals via separate posts (faster than searching through every possible dealers / distributors I am guessing).

      Also, OP wrote:

However, you are right. This is an inferior deal.

If my son had a choice of the minecraft console or a white console and saving $20
      He’d choose the minecraft console.

I’m saying that so would I.

But that deal does not come with Forza Horizon 4 which your son will miss out on. So it's not just that $20 but also the extra cost for Forza Horizon 4 which you can bet on won't be cheap. That makes this deal really inferior.

So are you going to explain to your son that you could have got both Red Dead Redemption 2 and also Forza 4 with Xbox One S 1TB for $20 less but decided to not have Forza 4 because you chose him a crappy looking console on a crappy deal. The Minecraft release really isn't such a good looking console. I can't see any kid in a right mind liking that console look much.

He wouldn’t touch FH and not would I.

Sometimes you pay extra for what you want.
I bought the halo console when I could’ve got a regular one for a little cheaper. No regrets.

      • Just to add to that. Forza Horizon 4 is $79 separately which you might have not accounted for assuming that it came in this bundle deal which it does not. So that makes that "$20 more even more like $99 more" assuming that you want Forza 4 for your son. It's a really poor deal for what you get with it compared to the plain white console bundle from JB.

        • And fh4’s RRP is $79
Wouldn’t be able to sell it for that

  • 20 bucks cheaper at JB if you don't care for minecraft and just want standard console +RDR2+Forza Horizon 4

  • It’s funny because back when the minecraft console was $200 ($180 with $20 off discount) on amazon people were making the exact opposite argument. Saying they would rather pay $50-$100 more to get the standard console over a minecraft console.

    • As an adult probably. But kids who like minecraft love the console. My sons friends all want to get the same one
