I need to renew my Phone Plan (currently on Telstra $40/month for 7GB & Unlimited Talk & Text). Currently they're offering $50 for 30gb Data which seems like a great deal, but I know that Phone Plans get refreshed each year. For my job reception & data speed is critical. Is there another refresh coming soon?

You can claim if you port your number to another carrier for a month first
That's actually a really smart idea. Is Optus Prepaid the one that's recommended for that? And is there any harm in swapping and going back within a day?
@JSONBourne: I did voda for like 2 days earlier in the year, just make sure your put credit on the voda account

From what I can tell it's down to the person in JB and/or their manager.
I went on a Thursday night around 20 mins before closing and they put it thru.

You can do heaps better than that.
I've just got 35GB for $39/month, plus peace of mind data.
To break it down, that's the $49/month plan, that's currently 15GB data with 15GB bonus, with a bonus 5GB of data, a discount of $10, and Peace of Mind data included for free.
Far out that's a hell of a deal. Can I ask how you got that?
I agree that is fantastic, I have found the deal how did you squeeze the extra 10 out of them
Currently on livechat and got them to offer me the $10 discount on the $49 plan quoting that my neighbour was offered the deal kapone mentioned. Unsuccessful in getting an extra 5GB and peace of mind data however thinking its still not a bad deal.

Kogan $315 1 year prepaid plan, 32gb per 30 days. ~$26 per month. Or look into Lebara if you require international calls.

The 12 month plan works out to $28.33 a month if you factor in the $200 gift card. Lots of data included. You will probably need to port way from Telstra for a month before you can get this deal though.
