For Christ sake how are the manufacturer still allowed to get away with a 1 year warranty. Surely it's time to legislate a required warranty in proportion to cost. This should have 3 year warranty minimum.

    • Just use Stat warranty if any probs 2 years is long enough for a $600 tele

It doesn't really matter in Australia, you'll get a 3 year warranty by law anyway, no matter what they state. Be thankful this isn't the USA where a 1 year warranty is a 1 year warranty.

      • Yep, consumer guarantee is a wonderful thing~

  • HDR?

Are these built to last? My 46" Samsung 1080p might be giving up the ghost after 10 years of faithful service.

I hope new TVs can match that!

    • My Sammy 40'' HD just refuse to die after 12 years daily use. Now retired in garage.

LA46M81BDX presumably? I don't think reliability is a huge issue these days, I've had a power supply fail in a Samsung and Sony but I expect even generic brands would last these days.

  • Has no hdr
