$1 Showerhead Trial | $50 Cashback If Continuing After Trial ($150 Min Spend, RRP from $190.30) @ Methven

60

Really good quality showerheads. You can trial 3 types of showerheads for $1 each

  • showerhead is sent via post along with an Express Post bag if you chose not to go ahead with purchase and return showerhead/s to Methven

  • trial is for 30 days

  • if you continue with purchase, you get $50 cash back

I ended up getting my Aurajet showerhead from Harvey Norman during a sale, then got the $50 cash back which made the final cost fairly reasonable for my low pressure shower. They guys at Methven are great to deal with.

    This belongs in the forums

    • Technically $50 cashback deal

      • The original title has been changed a couple of times by mods since my comment.

    Sounds very sock puppetry…

You should be providing cost of each shower head after cash back

      Had a look $190 - $250 lol, ridiculous.

      • What a joke.

      • +1

Until you've tried Methven, it seems expensive.

Kiri satin jet is the best shower I've ever used!

      • Thats pretty standard price for a decent shower head

Once you’ve fallen in love with your Methven shower, you can simply return it to us with the pre-paid envelope provided and go into store to purchase the full Methven shower experience. We’ll even give you $50 cash-back if you spend over $150! We will email you a list of stores nearby.

However, we do know that some people won’t want to live without their new shower experience after the trial. No problem – just keep it, there’s no need to get back in touch, we’ll simply charge the handsets price to your bank details supplied (RRP of the Satinjet® Kiri MK2 handset is $193.60. The RRP of the Satinjet® Waipori handset is $190.30. And the Aurajet® Rua handset is $249.).

$1 showerhead trial + $50 cashback with purchase

    Misleading title.

I agree that this is not a deal, it should be in the forums. However, I have two of these shower heads and they are magnificent if you have decent water pressure. Design-wise, they are the shower equivalent of a Dyson fan.

shower equivalent of a Dyson fan.

      cyclonic shower?

        Waterless showerheads.

    • +5

Agreed. We have the methven satin jet and they are 10 times better than the ones before.
We got them cheap off ebay.

      • We got them cheap off eBay

Same here, both came from UK eBay sellers.

      • Do you have a link?

they are the shower equivalent of a Dyson fan.

So, shitty product at ridiculously inflated price?

  • -6

They don't even look good lol. Looks like a cheap chrome plated piece of crap you'd find in the bargain bin at Bunnings.

    • +1

How many did you buy Broden?

  • Methven sounds like……

    • +2

      Easy there heisenberg.

  • Yeah I definitely sent them back.

  • I purchased two of these shower heads about 5 years ago.. (SatinJet) I must admit I was shocked by how nice they feel for water saver heads. Ours is 7 ltrs per minute (from memory) but having the two small water jets collide with one another across the whole surface face of the head makes it feel like you're under a normal shower head.
I'm not sure about this deal, but I purchased via eBay during a promotion. Has saved us a heap on water.
They are still going strong even covered in Adelaide's hard water. I believe they are a New Zealand company??

Yes the’re a NZ brand and have a pretty good reputation.

    • We have a Methven Kiri satinjet in one of our showers, which is great. I recently changed one of the other showerheads in the house to a 5-function Flexispray unit from Bunnings, which I would say is just as good at a third the price. The ‘champagne’ function on the Flexispray gives a similar sensation to the satinjet, as it does something to aerate the water as it comes out of the showerhead. Note that it is not the same sensation, and the satinjet just works whereas you need to select the function on these ones. Note also the 3-function Flexispray units don’t have the ‘champagne’ function.

Heres a link to the unit - https://www.bunnings.com.au/flexispray-wels-3-star-6l-min-5-…

      Champagne showers.

    • Thats is the main thing getting something that can last the different water conditions and not need replacing as quick

  • I've had a Methven Satinjet for years and it's awesome. Not worth full prices by any means but a third off would be pretty good.

  • Do you find that the Satinjet Kiri uses less water?

  • So you can get the $50 cashback without the new for trial
Are there conditions around the $50 cash back?
To qualify for the $50 cashback, you must spend over $150.00 on Methven products from our Rua, Kiri or Waipori ranges which totals a minimum of $150 or above (excluding handsets, handsets with hoses, and spare parts) purchased within 90 days of the date the Trial Period starts. Products can be purchased via any plumbing merchant, we simply need proof of purchase. Full terms and conditions can be found on handset trial web page.

  • I've been using Satinjet for the last 10 years and it's great.
Reno-ing a new property and used this deal last time to pretty much get $49 off the purchased price.

Found the cheapest model from Kiri range on ebay here:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Methven-Kiri-Satinjet-Hand-Showe…
With the 10% ebay off currently, comes to $152.10.

It's the older model since it's not the Kiri mk2 but still looks and works just as well.

  • How did you get the $50 cash back after purchasing the Aurajet showerhead (handset only I assume) from Harvey Norman when the terms of the cash back stated that it excludes (handsets, handsets with hoses, and spare parts)?

Would be nice if you could save $50 off the cost of just the handset.

    • +1

I think it only covers the full set ie showerhead and rails.
      They cost at least $350.

Hope someone can prove me wrong as I'm after the Aurajet too (just the showerhead).
