You just turn OFF the auto-recharge and you can also remove the credit card details from your Kogan account if you wish to do so. Have a go yourself.

  • How long does the voucher code email take to come through? Got the email with the invoice on it, but haven't got the voucher code email yet.

    • +1

      the next day

      • Thanks Baxo. Last time I ordered two 365 day vouchers (June?), the vouchers came within a few minutes and then the invoice came the next day. Happy to wait a day or two and see what happens. I have a spare sim from a previous order, so was hoping to get started straight away. Thanks again.

        • I bought one yesterday and I received mine within the hour.

  • mark

  • just brought it and do i receive voucher code by email? i still have spare kogan sims and

what does it mean new customers? based on phone numbers? considering this as throw away account…my cousin already have account with different number.

    • Voucher by email, you can use spare Kogan sim to activate.

what does it mean new customers?

New number or number current with others.

  • I just bought one. Does the Voucher Code come in the mail with the sim.

    • +2

Voucher code should come in email. Sim card will come in post.

  • Thanks, OP. I escape from the clutch of the evil Telstra as of today and have been looking for something cheap, so this couldn’t have come at a better time! 😊

  • Kogan (Vodafone) speed has been progressively decreasing to being unusable during peak time (congestion). My first Kogan sim gave me speeds around 40Mbs…now 1Mbs??

    • Try a different device that supports more of Vodafone's LTE bands. Some may be more maxed out than others (e.g. 1800Mhz)

      • +1

Thanks BargainKen, my phone supports both Vodafone B3 and B5. I believe the decreasing speed is due to recent congestion in my neighborhood probably from excessive Koganmobile signups lol!

  • Did you receive your voucher straight after placing your order? I have done before. However, this time, it is 45 minutes after ordering and there is no email with the voucher.

    • It just arrived.

      • So it sounds like it took about 50 mins? I think mine have generally taken no longer than 5 mins to arrive

  • Please help. I am trying to use this with the Huawei E8372 dongle. It connects, but says limited, and I can't access any web pages.

Kogan swapped the SIM for me, as we thought it may be faulty, but that did not help.

The device is unlocked. I have used it with a Catch Connect SIM and that worked.

Have you changed the APN to live.vodafone.com

      • Thanks bongom. I was wanting to do that, but did not know where to input it. I found where to do it and it works now.

  • I'm a new customer. i bought 4 last Thursday and I have received the vouchers via email.

When will i receive the sim cards?

    • +2

Varies. I'd estimate 4-10 days working days.

    • +1

Agree with illumination that it can vary quite a bit. My personal experience ranges from 3 days to about 2 weeks.

      • +1

That is why I ordered some when they are free.

  • +1

Wow, the data allocation is now increased to 40GB!!

    • +1

You could always post it up as a new deal..!

      • Done, lets see how it goes

  • Ok another expiry question:

The website says "Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEDT on 14/01/2019"

However my voucher says "Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEST on 13/12/2018"

What's the easiest work around here? My mobile plan runs out mid January so I'd prefer the first expiry

    • Don't think there is a workaround to be honest.. Sounds more like a question for Kogan - to ask them whether they can extend expiry for you, to which I would suspect the answer is no.

Your best bet is probably to resell it in Classified if you don't think you can use it.

  • how long for delivery????

    • Look up a couple of comments above you ;)

just try to activate online but fail, rang kogan CS and got a lesson from CS. Under my name there is many 30 days use sim card. In future might not be allow to use kogan, coz of miss use of their trier service.

    • How many services you got with them?

      • current 3-4 which i use for mobile broadband. Dispose the sim once data is dry up. Though calling CS to activate and deactivate old service same time. Then got the lesson of miss use of service.

        • Approximately how often have you activated a new sim? 1 a week?

          • @finbar: 2-3 weeks per sim. Sim will be still active for 6 month after not recharge, thats what prompt me to request for deactivation.

            • +1

@a1234my: I think its only 90 days with kogan

            • @a1234my: Maybe deactivation is the problem. I just leave the sims as is; don't recharge and they deactivate by themselves eventually. 90 days for Kogan if not recharged but not sure about the Vodafone ones.

        • Fair Use Policy. I was wondering about what the limitations were there. About 15 active accounts; at least 3 Kogan mobile and about? 12 Vodafone data ones. Have been spreading them between 3 people though. Mostly using the Vodafone data ones for Mother as she is still waiting for NBN. (They were a special deal $20 for 35GB at the time).

      • how would one do when there have more then 4 active with them ( credit expired but still regard as active )

    • +1

      Oh wow interesting… lol

Activating a new SIM once every 2-3 weeks really doesn't sound that bad though.

  • Does anyone have the link to purchase? for some reason I end up on the landing page for the deal but no way to 'buy' the item. It looks like a picture/link is missing.

What a joke the Kogan service is

    1. It is Vodafone
    2. How ever they count their data usage is so unfairly stacked towards them winning!
I've had it one for just 9 hours, haven't used any streaming, not YouTube and ive used 1Gb already
It seems to charge these amazing amounts per hour or less… Must be something like, use a Kb and we charge you 10Mb.
    3. The service disconnects from the network, needing rebooting to reconnect
  • Can I get this and then downgrade to the small plan after 30 days and paying using this voucher - https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-mobile-prepaid-voucher-co…

    • Yes you can do that.

      • Thanks!!

  • Weird
For some unknown reason these kogan/voda sims won't let me hotspot.
No problems with my jennee/optus or aldi/telstra sims.

    • ???? all my phones work fine…been doing it for over a year, still going strong!

  • Any luck with refunds?

Canceled my 99c deal a few days before recharge, removed cc, yet somehow still got charged 49.90 !! Not looking forward to the multiple phone calls I know this will take to fix…

    • Oh dear, how did it go?
