are these twice as good as the Xiaomi ones?

    don't buy this.

    STANDARD INPUT CHARGING
As this was the newer version, I was hoping ANKER would have added a quick charging input so it could charge up as fast as it could put juice out. Unfortunately, this doesn't have it. It only charges as fast as most standard chargers. I had it plugged into a QC 3.0 Charger and it was only charging at 5V 2A. From completely drained to full took about 5.5hrs at 5V 2A. This is the only room for improvement I could see for this battery pack.

You're right. I have updated the post so people are aware of it.

Amazon US reviews are good for this unit. It is silly that Anker don't have fast charging to charge the powerbank in this day and age!

QC chargers are also being discouraged by Google/Android. The preferred standard is PD chargers

And Apple. Don't forget Apple use PD and they have huge presence on the market.

  • Company faith aside, this seems inferior to the kogan one?

    • I + this deal because it's a good price for Anker but yes, inferior to lots of Kogan/Xiaomi and the like in term of usability. Though with Anker they over engineered their stuff so at least you got faith it doesn't go up in flames.

I only have Anker PD car charger because it's the only one I trusted and priced reasonably competitive to other OK brands.

  • Still no sign of any cygnett deals

    • Why? Are Cygnett power banks any good? Which model would you recommend? I am trying to look for a larger capacity one to replace an older 8000mah.

      • +2

Yes genuinely good banks and the sales are pretty good too so there's value in that. Their never 20,000mAh USB-C is great imo. USB C and PD. Can look for smaller capacity if you want but can't go wrong with this for about 80bux on sale.
