Greetings everyone, Xbox has today put "Crackdown" back down to Free to own :)

This is an Xbox 360 title that is backwards compatible with Xbox One. Open to any Xbox owner, gold is not required.

Crackdown is an open world action-adventure video game developed by Realtime Worlds and distributed by Microsoft Game Studios for the Xbox 360. It was released in North America on 20 February 2007, and worldwide by 23 February 2007. Crackdown was conceived by Realtime Worlds' founder, David Jones, who also created Grand Theft Auto and Lemmings.[2]

  • The XB1 version of this title has now been enhanced for the Xbox One X thanks to guidedlight

      I lost my original copy, so I re-bought it second hand off eBay when it was upgraded. But the disc was scratched, so it only worked half the time. Very happy about this.

    Microsoft has yet to fix Gettin' Busy on XB1. Even if you own it on the X360 marketplace, it does not appear on the XB1 for anyone in Australia. In order to get it on your XB1 console you need to change the region to somewhere other than Australia before it will be available to install.

    Have raised support tickets with MS, all they say is that its not available in Australia, despite owning it on the old xbox.com marketplace in this country. Its a simple marketplace glitch they never bothered to fix.

      Once you add a billing address it then asks for cc info. I gave up at that point.

      Because you must've accidentally created a US region Xbox account. The 360 store is still region locked which is why it wants you to enter US details.

    This is the game (along with Gears) that got me on to Xbox. I was a Nintendo fanboy but playing Crackdown at a friend's place had me hooked.

      Mine been in the backlog since it was free with Gold (in 2013 according to Google) so you will be ahead if you can manage to play it in the next 5 years?

      Edit: Actually have played it for a couple of hours but had trouble getting into it.

    I just dug my copy out to replay. Great I can now play without the disc.

    Looks and plays great on Xbox One X. I still love how the cars transform depending on your driving skill.

    Crackdown 2 was such a let down.
