  • Any comment on this one please? I'm looking for one cheap one to test because i dont have much of coins

    • This is a plastic version of the K65, so check reviews on that to get more of an idea.

Beg to differ. Even for normal use or gaming, mechanical switches are just nicer to use than everyday membrane keyboards.

I use mine to type my diary entries every night, so I guess I'm in that category.

        • +1

You're literally typing your life story. You're the only person allowed a mechanical keyboard!

I've got 2 of the k70 and a k65 wireless, they're great keyboards for both work and gaming. Cherry reds will take a while to get used to because all the keys are very light but once you get used to them, they're great.

  • Please update your clearance price PDF MSY.

I have a K65 bought 3-4 years ago. Still working perfectly. Only inconvenience is it uses non-standard key cap.

    • me too got a g310
      I want it
      but I don't need it
      especially when my pc
      is broken

      • I got this steelseries m400 keyboard. Works fine and so does my PC but I still want to buy this for some reason :(

        • its so tempting as its a branded mx switch keyboard at a good price (well that my reason might be different to yours)

I hardly find any real good review through youtube, it may suggests that the keyboard does not catch attention and thus is not really a good option!

    • You must be fun at your workplace if you are seeking mechanical keyboard attention.

Genuine Cherry MX switches for this price is a steal!

Red switches are linear (no bump or click) which makes it better for gaming but some typists like more feedback, and mid-light key press force required.

    • +1

they're terrible for gaming tbh it makes gaming exhausting. you cant rest your fingers on the keys and not have them accidentally click

      • +2

Doesn't happen to me. Could you just have… heavier fingers?

        • +1

Yea could be, my hands arent that big you might just have small hands

  • NO RGB NO LOVE

  • Anyone know how the Cherry MX Red compared to the MX Speed feels like?

  • Does not have disco lights, no go

  • -1

Just pay a bit more and get one with the pretty lights

      those aren't cherry MX switches

    • +1

Pretty sure those are mem-chanical and not mechanical anyway.

  • I bought a Steelseries apex m400 from a previous deal for work and it's great, any thoughts how this compares to that one? Looking to get a mech keyboard for home as well. I don't care about backlight, just the tactile feel when typing.

  • Are the keys clacky?

    • They're linear. So they'll "clack" when you bottom-out. Which you probably will when typing.

Basically, this keyboard is designed for gaming, not typing.

  • Brown or nothing for me
Honestly Red feels same as membrane keyboards
    So what’s the point?

    • Aren’t MX Browns considered the worst Cherry switch though?

      • There isn't really a "best", its mostly preference.

Its not like browns will make you type any less quickly or anything like that.

  • Can anyone suggest an affordable backlist mechanical keyboard? I want to buy one. By affordable, I mean something branded, lasts for some time and in the starting price range for the mode. Thanks.

  • I bought one yesterday, solid and pretty heavy, must have a steel back plate. The keys feel good, they are linear like Silver switches but with a longer actuation, no bump like Brown switches and no loud click clack like Blue switches.

The bottom row has the compressed key sizes like most Corsair keyboards, takes some getting used to if you are used to a normal size bottom row. The only thing 'gaming about it is a dedicated button in the top right near the media keys that disables the Windows key and prevents it registering a press.

    PROS:
Excellent price for a full-size keyboard with genuine Cherry MX Red keys.
Dedicated media and volume keys are handy. They are not mechanical, they are membrane keys which is fine.
No FN (Function) key to confuse things, every key does what it says.

    CONS:
Incline legs are short, doesn't raise the keyboard much.
Only has rubber feet on the front edge. No rubber on the bottom of the incline legs, makes it harder to stay put on the desk.
Space bar doesn't feel as solid as all the other keys, the wire stabiliser bar under it is a bit noisy. Might just be the particular one I got.

Another thing to note is no back-lighting, if it was a true gaming keyboard then you would likely want to use it in a dark room and back-lighting of some kind is a must. I plan to use it in a well lit office at work so I think it will be fine for that.

  • This keyuboard looks interesting

  • I was actually going to get it but they changed it back to $99!
