Kind of wish we could downvote threads…

    • Dont do that I like the lol factor

  • you can hire a ute from bunnings for $25 /hr apparently

Hire professionals. My LG OLED 65 was delivered securely by DHL. It had devices on the box to validate:
    1) TV was kept upright while transporting.
    2) TV was not shaken while transporting.
LG told me only to sign paperwork after checking these devices. Highlights importance of proper transport.

    • Wow, so the delivery service has to have devices on box to ensure they look after the new tv. You would hope they could be trusted to look after it without the digital-nanny monitoring type situation. The store or LG must put these on, because obviously if the delivery courier cannot be trusted not to bash round tv and keep upright, the same person could just attach device when round the corner from your house prior to dropoff.

Airtasker or ask a mate with trailer or long hatchback car…

call that friend with a ute who's not a tradesman who'll do anything to justify their bad life decision

Does your car have a towball? If so buy a piece of wood from Bunnings and free loan a trailer :)

is this resolved yet or ur still tossing between recommendations. its detrimental to health to stay outdoors overnight with a 65" brand new tv in sydney

My friend Snake, is on his way driving his newly aquired vehicle, round to all the Good Guys stores looking to give OP some assistance ;)

Wow. So many ppl are getting trolled by a numpty who spent $1500 on a TV yet is too poor to pay for airtasker/transportation?

Here is a song to keep you all going:

    We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
    A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
    Gotta make you understand
    Never gonna give you up
    Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
    Never gonna make you cry
    Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

  • Return the tv and buy the 60" version.

If it’s a Samsung check if it folds in half.

  • Good Guys delivery on a 65" tv is $55.00, and you're agonising over it??

  • Public bus in the middle of the day should be right

  • I bought the same thing and had the same problem. Book a SUV on ola and make sure you use a 10 or 15% off coupon, that's the cheapest way to get it home. Don't book an uber it will be too expensive. Don't book a ute or van those people are absolutely careless with your stuff. Only other option is to rent a ute or van and drive yourself. But the amount of time and energy you will spend to return the car, if you value your time just book a SUV on ola.

    • How much did it cost you?

      • From Harvey Norman Wiley Park to Yagoona for $35 after discount. Plus I got the ride home and that counts a little bit.

This guy is just the dumbest/cheapest duck on earth or a troll. Most likely the latter.
If you can fork out 1500+ on a TV why wouldn't you just get $50 delivery.
Please, no one else take the bait, I've done that for you

You're the Jesus of troll baits.

      You clicked for our curiosity.

Ask a mate you help you carry it home.

Remove the tv from the box!

Download 13cabs app and select Maxi Taxi.
You can estimate how much it costs.

  • Order a Maxi Taxi, thats wht I did last time I bought a big tv or hire a trailer

    Move to Blacktown.

  • Buy a cheap piece of wood from bunnings and use their courtesy trailer…Assuming you have a tow ball.

  • Hail down first ute you see and explain the situation.
    Turn some tricks to driver.
TV gets home but you lose some of your innocence/humanity.

  • Try Airtasker you can find many options there

  • go to gumtree and just get someone to pick it up, did it previously with a massive table and cost me about $30

  • Chain the box of new tv behind your car. This will do.

  • No.

THE ANSWER: Leave the TV where it is and move your house stuff into TGG. As an added bonus, if you can squat for long enough you can also claim ownership of the store.

  • Post the job in Airtasker.someone with some spare time and big car might do it for cheap

  • get a UTE

  • Increasingly frustrated that OP won't tell us what he's done. :'(

    • Probably time for mods to close this thread

  • Thanks for the lols. :)

  • This bargain may work well for you https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/419289

  • Use Car Next Door.

I'm loving this service. It's like Airbnb but for cars.

  • Did you ask Good guys if you can get it delivered and pay the delivery fee? They might be nice enough to organise it for you.
