    (was $949)

I find it very hard to believe that this refurb was $949… Title is misleading.

This is a discontinued model that sold for $600 when new…

    • Says the RRP was $899 on that link

      Delonghi Dishwasher DEDW645W
      $609
      Save $290
      (32%) off RRP of $899

      • So, $600 is a realistic actual price then.

when it was selling 5 years ago…

since it's been superseded by newer and better models, the price for a new one would be considerably less today…

Says the RRP was $899 on that link

        The title here doesn't.

Regardless, making a price comparison to the RRP (strike through price) when you don't normally sell it at RRP is deceptive and misleading, and against the law…

    • Prob why so many refurbs

  • Does it say whats wrong with it ?

  • Reviews are BAD on these and they've been trying to sell them off for a while now.

  • pretty sure we have this at home, as long as you make sure it has rinse aid, it seems to do a good enough job.

However we paid only $349 at TGS.

  • How about the installation? Is it possible to do by ourselves? Need any mounting or special tolls to install?
    Cheers.

It is very easy to install a dishwasher yourself. People will claim that you'll lose your house insurance if you don't do it correctly, but that's BS. It's no different to installing a hose on a tap.

      • Thx for that thinking to get one. Since I rent hehe

They have a poor customer service,
I bought a factory second dishwasher from them for $399 afew month ago, it was dead on arrival and took them 5 weeks to arrange a pickup and refund the money!

      But it still have warranty?

    • +1

Disagree, i bought a heater and it was dented on arrival.
They organised a pick up the next day and delivery of the new item a couple days later.

  • If this deal is only tempting you due to the price difference, this was $488 from TGG when available in May.

Lived with one of these for about 18 months in a temp Kitchen while I was DIY'ing major renos to a large part of our house. Bought it because it was cheap ($400 on a Good Guys 20% off sale) and it worked perfectly well for the money. Cutlery Tray was 'OK' however you could tell they just added it to tick a box because they didn't redesign the rest to suit so it affected space for larger items throughout the rest of the machine which was a bit of a shame. Not a deal-breaker though and for $199 I can recommend this to anyone wanting a no-frills machine or even just as a hole-filler when selling a house.

  • I ordered one in the past. Be prepared for a dented door and broken parts inside.

  • Cutlery Drawer with separate spray arm

This is really important. Don't buy a dishwasher with a cutlery drawer without a separate water source above the drawer.

  • Anyone can recommend a durable dishwasher for $7-800?

I don't care for the smart features, I just care the simplicity and durability

    • I have a 6 month old Westinghouse and it is rubbish.

The Miele in my old place was 25 years old, cleaned dishes really well; the layout was good adn it's only had 2 breakdowns in that time. Highly recommended but I think they sell around the $2k region.

      • I wonder how would Bosch compare. $2k is too much.

        • I don't know.
Lived with the Miele for 19 years and was going to buy another at the new place as the existing unit was FUBAR. Vendor bought this Westinghouse after I put the deposit down as it was listed in the contract as having a dishwasher and they were worried I'd have a dummy spit if the dishwasher didn't work.

I have had the cheaper "desined in Germany / made in Thailand" Bosch front loader washing machines and they work well but longevity is questionable. Mine lasted 4yrs 10 months. Thank goodness I paid through the nose for a 5 year full replacement waranty and could still find the paperwork. :-)

    • One of Choice's recommended models is the Bosch SMS40E08AU, and Bosch is one of the more reliable brands out of the dishwashers. (The other 2 recommended Bosch models are SMU46GS01A and SMS66MI02A).
