I'm confused as to what I need to do. I am a Velocity Frequent Flyer member. I think I threw the physical card out a long time ago. Am I stuffed or?
First thing the app asks for is card details.
You can request a new card or download a digital card if you log into Velocity.
Just go into your email account and find the number there if you are still receiving their emails.
I read somewhere there's charges after some period of inactivity. I have the card but never activate it

I haven't been charged an inactivity fee since April 2016 it says. Haven't used the card in months. So I think it's fine

I've had the card for years with 0 balance and never had the charge. Any institution would be pretty bold to charge fees on a 0 balance account.
Just go on your velocity account and request for a new card. It should take about 2 weeks for you to get it which may or may not be after the deadline though
So the new 'travel card' replaces the plain old velocity card? Is that right? Just like Qantas did?
Yes once you sign up to Global Wallet, they send you a new card with one side being the visa card, the other side being the normal Velocity card

you dont have to add funds to get the points do you? my card expires next month. no fee to order a renewal right/? and as long as i dont top it up they wont charge me the inactive fee $1.95 or take it from my points balance? can i order a card for my kids who are under 18?

For those could not find where to put the promo code, it is on the page of setting up notification preference before you check the accept the legal agreements box.

Can confirm, terms at bottom of image say can be entered by new users activating their account using the Global Wallet app. Thanks OP
