Considering the graphics card alone is worth $1000+ … this is pretty good! Could upgrade the other parts as you go along and this is pretty quick.

    • I reckon upgrade the cooler and chuck in another hard drive. What do you think?

      • +9

The AMD Wraith coolers are actually pretty decent. With the crappo motherboard and RAM I don't think they'll hold you back much on overclocking.

I'd trash the PSU if it's really crap (since they don't list the brand) and add a HDD like you said

      • +1

I also have an A320 motherboard like this one and I can tell you that Overclocking is not probable. Stock cooler is pretty good, never seen my CPU go above 50c.

        • Does your A320 have an M2 Slot? Thanks

          • +3

@Jase2801: Mine does indeed. Didn't even know that until I just googled because I never looked for it :P.
It's an ASUS Prime A320M-K. Barebones board but does the trick. Only thing that annoyed me was the IO shield that I had issues with.

      • I'd spend another $150 and replace the motherboard with a B350/450. Just gives you a bit more headspace to upgrade.

      • +1

Cooler should be fine, AMD ones are good and no overclocking anyways. Hard drive absolutely, or a bigger (500+) SSD.

Personally, with a card like that I'd swap out the PSU. Down the line maybe swap out the Mobo, throw in an extra 8gb of ram.

    • Will upgrading void the warranty with them?

    • +3

Just posting this at the top - deal is back up https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/192724630853

      • +4

Trying to replicate your total price even with the cheapest stuff i could find is impossible at ebay/retail prices, by about $300
Its quite an accomplishment to lowering the cost of entry to high spec gaming by so much.
I hope you're making a killing.. atleast by volume (and if not, you should rise the price a little :)

Hijacking top thread for announcement from seller

      (Tldr)

Essentially we will be waiting around 8 to 10 days for it to be shipped ( I was one of the first who ordered at 1350 price, will see how long it takes)

      Good evening,

You will notice that we have just assigned a shipping tracking number to your system. When we click "Add Tracking" it automatically marks the item as sent in eBay's system and we cannot prevent this happening, but please note that it has not yet shipped; this is part of our internal tracking procedures to update our various internal departments.

The Ryzen 5 / RTX 2080 systems have an extended lead time, as per the updated listing. The estimated dispatch time from today is around 8-10 business days from today. We will do our best to fulfil our orders as quickly as possible, and you will most definitely be receiving your system in a timely fashion, so we ask for your patience during this busy Christmas period. Try to hold off messaging us if you can, as that will only slow the process down. Rest assured, we are working as quickly and accurately as we can.

Keep an eye on the StarTrack website, using your consignment tracking number and their Track and Trace facility. When it ships, the status will update from "Ready for Pickup" to "In Transit" and you'll be able to track it all the way to your door.

We appreciate your patience and understanding!

This doesn't make sense, how is it so cheap!?

    • +2

No idea. Literally buy the GPU + CPU and get everything else free.

      • +3

I reckon you can buy this, then buy a separate case, PSU, mobo, ram, SSD, HDD and build a new High-end PC.

With the left overs of this, just throw in a cheap Ryzen APU.

Then you've got yourself a free/extra PC. Or better yet sell the extra PC to bring the total cost down for an OzBargain Special.

        • IMO the case is pretty decent actually.

          • @N1NJ4W4RR10R: Looks good in pictures, in person it's not that great. I've seen it before with a random Chinese Branding on it.

Its okay, but I would rather buy a good quality name-brand case for such high-end GPU/CPU.

            • @Kangal: The RGB one? I've got it.

Mind that, I was intending on a relatively low end build (and got one a bit lower for miles better in price), so I wasn't expecting much from a case beyond "be pretty be practical", which it's done :P

For a build like this it's probably underwhelming. But that's pretty much all of the parts bar the 2080 anyway!

              • @N1NJ4W4RR10R: Can you please post photos

                • +1

                  @R3XNebular: https://imgur.com/a/zcRByUZ

Will probably throw up a thread later, just gotta take some more photos, be bothered to do some stuff and hope Aus post can actually deliver my keyboard so I can properly use it!

/Ot, but Aus post legitimately lost my first keyboard. So, got a refund for that and bought another (better for more or less ths same price, so meh)…and apparently they're being slow with this one as well! Was due to arrive Wednesday but was delayed to Monday…yay.

*Second photo, silver feet are bottom. Needa update that to the proper photo, that one's annoying to look at.

    • everything apart from the CPU and GPU are dog sh!t, and horrible. I would change the PowerSupply so fast it wouldn't be funny. you know that 550Watt psu costs $30.
still you are getting a insane deal. rtx2080 is worth $1000 and the ryzen5 2600 is worth $210. so you get a lot of PC for the price

      • For a high end build probably. Mind that, you'd be able to sell a fair bit if you decided to swap em. I got an ASUS board, nobody cares about branding on RAM/SSDs so long as they work as intended. Big negative's absolutely the power supply, especially for this price. But to be honest at this price it's more or less a freebie.

    • Not sure. Mine arrived not long ago and litterally the only thing I'd consider swapping (due to brand/quality) is the PSU. And even that I've heard some got thermaltake PSUs.

    • +2

      Got mine today…

RTX 2080 is twin-fan, but came dislodged from the slot
120GB SSD turned out to be a 1TB Toshiba 2.5" drive

      Haven't turned it on yet…

      • +1

How's your first impression so far? If possible could you take pics or send us a list of the components that came with it for you? Thanks!

  • +1

Wtf I thought it was a typo. Rtx 2080 pc for < $1400!?!?

    How???

  • +6

Bought it for the gpu alone, thx op

  • +2

Huge thanks OP. Best RRP on 2080 is around $1200, so this is a total steal.

  • This is a steal.

  • +5

Has to be a price error.

    • Doubt it. Techfast sells stupid cheap, and a rep's posted in the thread.

*Looks down thread slightly and see's rep posted, confirming error. Oof to me.

  • Oh wow awesome price.

  • +2

Main issues would be: SSD (is small would need to be upgrade cheap), 550W unknown brand power supply, RAM (arguably would want another 8GB), OS.

But the price is pretty much the price of the GPU, so still ridiculously cheap.

    • I'd absolutely recommend swapping the PSU for a card like that. System comes installed with windows, just unactivated.

Yeah, lol. at this price you're practically just paying for the CPU/graphics card, with everything else just being a freebie.

Other commentor mighta been onto something actually. Odds are you're swapping out a chunk of the system, so grab a new case and a ryzen APU as well than voila, 2nd PC.

  • why so expensive at MSY???

    • I know right, you can buy an iPhone Xr instead @_@

  • +2

    Price just went up $50

  • +2

Basically a free PC with your 2080.

  • +42

Hey all, wow this went nuts and caught my attention - yes, there was a pricing error that has been fixed, apologies. $50 was added making it $1394.10 delivered. We will for course honor the lower price for those who purchased.
    Cheers

    Luke

    • +9

Lmao, thought it was a mistake and you guys would cancel it. But a price error and only adding $50, even adding $200 and its still a bloody bargain lol. Good to see you guys honour this

    • +2

Lol, the price increase happened in the time it took me to read the comments looking for the catch (didn't find it though).

    • +1

we need more people like you guys to give us actual bargains on ozbargain

    • -6

Thanks, I ended up buying one earlier for a steal of a price. Is there a way to have have the parts unbuilt and seperate invoices for parts for warranty?

      • Would advise asking via PM (to techfast/rep)

        • Shoot i was wondering why i was getting negged, haha worded it badly, was thanking rep, not replying to lolno for taking credit lmao 🤣

    • +1

This has to be joke lol. Really though, thanks a lot for this deal

    • +2

Great deal either way… can we get confirmation on which Galax RTX 2080 model is installed? Blower, or the Dual Black?

  • Price got bumped to $1550 before discount, so it's now $1400

  • +1

Price now increased to $1394.10 after discount

    • +1

I bought this at $1394 too, it's still insanely good.

      • +2

Add one to the $1394 gang.

Impulse buy so I feel kinda guilty but I've been putting off upgrading my PC for like 7 years lol.

        • I know the feeling. Only swap out upgrading with buying. Ebay's been kind with it's discounts and techfast has been kinder

  • Is it possible to get a case without the LEDs and glass side panels? A man just wants a plain case lol

    • +3

Rgb increases performance in case you didnt know/s

Makes you a much better gamer with lighting fast reflex/s

    • +1

Dude, don't waste time on that. Who knows how much stock there is

    • You can turn off the LEDs….and I suppose you could always be weird and paint/cover up the beautimous glass.

  • +1

    Hopefully Broden don't see this

  • +2

Would the 3600hmz ram from this deal be a suitable replacement (I have read about ryzen chips being funny about which ram you use)

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/407105

    • +1

Upvoted, I would like to know this too

    • Trying to find the exact RAM that comes with the PC. It already comes with a 1x 8gb stick, so you'd just need another one of the same speed/lat.

      • That's probably the best advice. But something about ryzen likes fast ram comes to mind. I'm an Intel fanboi so I'm ignorant here and just asking for a friend.

        • +1

Most likely this the one with amazon is what i got. (somehow got flagged on previous comment)

      • Speed's 2400. Believe it's teamgroup, tmk it comes without a heat spreader. Should help your search a bit.

Might have to open my system up again and check for a model number or something.

    • +1

i have a 3600mhz 2x8GB cl19 kit (Either Vengeance RGB or TridentZ) w/ Ryzen 1700 and it's running at 3466 CL19. Can't get 3600 to be stable without upping my SoC voltage :)

    • +1

It's best to check the Qualified Vendor List of the motherboard. RAM support for Ryzen depends on a combo of the CPU and motherboard.

  • +9

Damn. Probably would never use this, still want to buy it. Ozbargain you have ruined me.

  • +1

    So tempting, must resist.

  • -5

Look at Battlefield 5's RTX benchmark before buying any new RTX cards people.

    • +4

Pretty sure 90% of the people who buy this don't give a damn about ray tracing. The 2080 offers 1080Ti level performance and it's a newer card which is why this was sold out so quickly.

      • -2

why so angry? 1080ti been out for close to 2 years, i didnt know 90% of people wanted that performance in 2019.

        • +1

Please name better performing card then

    • Oh it's absolutely garbage. But it'll get better eventually.

      Plus, what about dem frames.

  • -4

    Will OW Price Match?

  • +1

    Damn man, It has ended…

  • +4

I'm too late… At least this means i won't have to face dilemma of whether to buy or not.

    • +1

I know that feeling too well

    • The deal is back

  • +2

At the moment, just going to roll with an additional SDD, PSU (Integra M 650W or Corsair TX650M) to upgrade this. Will add another 1x 8GB stick but they don't have what ram is listed anywhere on their website, so I'll just have a look myself when I get it.

  • +1

Damn, spent too long researching the parts and they've all gone! Great deal though.

    • +2

Wow the deal went back up! I'm stoked!

  • +4

Hey was this worth it? i insta bought it and just wanted to know. I made an account just now

    • +1

first comment ever and i get two negative votes… anyone can enlighten me on what i did wrong? thanks

      • +4

Maybe people salty they missed out on the deal?

        • Thanks for the reply, and i see… i apologize and hope it comes back in stock :)

          • +3

@firsttimeuser7: Mate, you need not apologise for anything. You haven't done anything wrong.

      • +2

anyone can enlighten me on what i did wrong?

You paid attention to it ;)

    • +4

Theres no question it's worth it. You could legitimately flip the graphics card for a profit. It's a good PC to use, the only thing that requires a real upgrade is the PSU.

      • Awesome thank you, its my first ever gaming desktop i bought so just wanted to make sure… i been checking the previous deals from tech fast for a while now and was going to buy the gtx 1060 version but this is a much more better deal it seems.

      • True. Sell the card for 1200, buy a 580 or something like it than you've got about $900, $850 profit.

Although for this price I wouldn't recommend it. Swap out the PSU and this'll be stupid good for the next while.

  • DAMN!!!!!!!Can't believe I missed this one!!!!!!!!!!!
