    Does your store have a closing special? If so, what time does it start (30 min before closing)? And what's the closing special?

    • No, we don't

    • I have had a store near my old Uni offer chicken pieces for $1 each when I went in probably 20 minutes before closing

      No, we do seniors discount which is 10% and we also give this to people who work in the food court

    • In my experience a lot of KFC workers will apply the seniors discount if you turn up in uniform. I got it maybe half a dozen times in the Cairns food court over the space of a year or so when I worked up there.

  • Went 3 different branch recently, I have noticed oil is bit heavy, chicken to be hard and bland.

    Did the receipe change? Like, no salt.
    And different oil?

      It's a matter of preference however I have had burgers at KFC and HJ. I prefer HJ.

    • They don't have enough pcs to last the year

  • Why swapping a soft drink with a frozen drink in a meal needs to pay extra $0.8, while a single frozen drink is just $1?

    • Isnt that a good way to make you buy an extra drink instead? And 20c more profit for KFC?

    • Nope

      • that really weird because you can get gravy with no mashed potatoes.

        • Yeah we definitely have that, just not the other way round

        Probably not a smart thing to do when they are being hammered with customers though.

        • If they were in the progress of making the potato and gravy and just had it sitting there, it makes sense. Definitely not a menu item though

    Do you recycle anything other than the cooking oil (if that is even properly recycled)?

    Why do you still provide customers with plastic cutlery in a sealed plastic bag?

    • Not sure about the oil, but we stopped providing customers with the cutlery in the bag a while ago, now we put in the individual items needed for the meal into the box

    • How do you obtain this mythical cutlery in a bag? These are rarer than rocking horse sh*t at KFC drive thru.

        Sometimes I’ll order a zinger burger and they chuck a handful in hahaha
        I must admit my local kfc is trash.
        Absolutely useless they are.

    When I used to work there I used to throw stuff in the pressure fryer to see what happened. I tried the mars bar thing but it just melted. I tried an apple and it came out really small and wrinkled like a prune. Deep fried pocket sandwiches were bloody good though, try that if you have a chance.

    Why are most KFC stores filthy inside and out?

  • Two questions, how do you decide what pieces of chicken to give to a customer? Do you tend to screw over the drive thru people more than in-store?

    • If someone orders more than 3 pieces of chicken we are supposed to give them at least one wing. Apart from that it's up to the employee

  • Can you get free BBL tickets? As I've heard that kfc employees can get free tickets

    • They give them away sometimes on our corporate social media

  • My favourite burger ever is from KFC (Zinger Tower). Why did they stop doing the tower, and why does the Zinger no longer have the red spicy sauce in it?

    Also any news on the charcoal bun with the maple sauce making a return? It was beautiful.

        lol… probably or a bleeding heart humanitarian. Was watching a doco from approx 9 years ago where they talked about the 2/3 ratio (probably worse now) and the fact that the majority didn't even consider themselves oweight. It's become the new 'normal'. We live in a Dr Phil era though where everyone is beautiful and comfortable in their own skin and of course while pumping up the multi billion dollar weight loss industry. Anyway I digress

    Why don't you have everything on the menu boards? We've noticed dessert cups in the fridge, but they don't seem to be on the board.

      Also, why is half the text on the menu boards impossible to read without a pair of binoculars?

    • We have a lot of menu items, only the most popular get on the board. For everything try the app, but even that doesn't have all the options available on the register

    how often is the oil changed?(Not in your car) and How many kilos of chicken does your store fry a day ?

  • Is it true that you scrape the bottom tray of the deep fryer for leftover bit and pieces of chicken, fat, flour coating etc and store this in your freezer and then add it to your gravy mix. The tray is scraped every couple of days and not on a daily basis as well.

    • No wonder why the gravy is so delicious

    • I don't know how it's obtained, but it's essentially chicken stock from the deep fryer. It gets rolled up into a plastic bag and placed in the fridge, and then mixed in with the gravy powder when being made. It looks like bags of shit in the fridge haha

    • Not that exactly but we definitely get some aggressive customers. I just laugh it off

    • Yes we get the leftovers on a close shift. And no unfortunately all the food it thrown in the bin

    Are you an expert at KFC chicken? Can you rate the best KFC youve ever had?

    • Yep. They're already phasing them out unfortunately

  • Why do you charge for ketchup (50cts per ketchup) and they won’t charge in eftpos. They needed to pay in cash. Asked for bill but said no bill for amount less than a dollar. Any reason? (Westmead NSW kfc)

      • Yeah and a UK article about a US KFC but it was memorable for a reason. Any time you have to close down for full decontamination should be, but how often do you see anything that ridiculous and crazy!?

    • More appropriate question would be how often does it crash. I have had so much frustration. I have to use it to get certain discounts though.

      • Has never crashed in my experiences, friends of mine use it very frequently too with no issues..
