                @AussieDaddy: Those boxes are using Kodi's name illegally. Kodi have nothing to do with hardware and want nothing to do with piracy. They are software developers making a video player application.

          Ugh. Why is the Shield so highly rated?

          I guess it performs well outside of Kodi. Looks like still have to use my $60 Amlogic 902 device for Kodi :(

    Damn too late, amazing price. Have one already but I like it so much I would have got another one an got rid of the mi box. I wouldn't worry about the controllers, PS3/PS4 and Xbox controllers all work well with the shield.

    If anyone has one and doesn't have a use for it (I've seen a few posts stating this) let me know as I'd be keen on buying it given this is now out of stock. If not, i'll just bite the bullet and pay the extra for the deal with the remote.

          I already have a Amlogic 912 box (KM8 pro) I had given up on months ago and was selling…turns out it's actually better than a shield now for mixed 1080p/4k HDR content.

          I put coreELEC on it last night seem to be working as it should now…was less than half the price of the shield and a better option for just playing media over a network it seems.

            @noise36: I've been using a cheap Amlogic 902 for a while and it works great for Kodi with CoreElec. 4k, HDR, Atmos, etc all works flawlessly.

            Very disappointing if the Shield is worse, especially with all the raving people do about it. Maybe I should cancel mine. I don't want to have both devices hooked up

      So did I. Pretty fast delivery. But haven't opened mine as I don't even own a 4K TV yet. By the time I buy a 4K TV there will be newer versions of this. lol
