oh how i miss the amazon germany deals on denon receivers delivered by fedex……

    • This unit is €439 @ Amazon Germany. With shipping and GST, you'll be paying close to $799 without local warranty.

    • Yes! This x∞
      I got the X3400 for €466

  • 80W per channel

  • I was really close to buying the Denon AVR-X1400 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/385931) Is this model a bit better?

    • They are are really similar. The X1500 adds a phono input for turntables and has a "new" scaling chip. JB also had the X1400 on EOL sale for $590 a while ago, it might be worth checking your local store if you don't need the phono input. I got lucky and picked one up a month ago.

  • Does anyone know of an AVR with "per input" sub settings? Eg HDMI 1 can have the sub volume at 0 but when switching to HDMI 2 the sub volume would be at 5.

    • That's an interesting use case. Gaming, I assume?

Yeah, there's a bit of difference in bass between games, movies and tv. On my current receiver you can only adjust volume and a few other settings that are input specific.

Also need a receiver with 2 HDMI outputs (like the Yamaha 685) so game consoles can get their own specific input on the tv and run game mode picture settings.

    • I believe my old Yamaha had this.

But I am going to check it with my current AVR-X3400H since one of my devices is louder than other and I want to adjust it.

    • Confirmed - AVR-X3400H got per input volume adjustment up to 12db.

Ah, just realized you are asking for sub adjustment.
      Nope, haven’t seen it.
