RSP Mungi Enters Voluntary Administration

Due to economic conditions, Mungi Group Pty Ltd (ACN 621 479 178) has entered into Voluntary Administration on 20 November 2018. As a consequence of this, the operations of Mungi have ceased.

The Board and staff of Mungi Group Pty Ltd are sympathetic of the inconvenience this causes valued clients. Staff of Mungi Group Pty Ltd are being made redundant as consequence of the closure of operations.

The Voluntary Administration is being handled by SM Solvency Accountants. All enquiries should be directed to [email protected]

SM Solvency Accountants will directly notify former clients as soon as possible.

Administration report shows $52,000 in assets and $900,000 in debt. Highly suggest contacting your bank and requesting a charge back, or opening a dispute in PayPal as it's highly unlikely you'll be refunded by the administrators.

      • Pretty unlikely!

        1. They've been around for nearly 10 years
        2. They own their own infrastructure
        3. They aren't just another Vocus reseller like Mungi, Buzz etc.
      • Why?

Seems to me that outside of the main telcos, they are the go to RSP for NBN - the thinking man's RSP

i'm terrified for Aussie BB now. I don't want them to be the next in the line.

Terrified of what exactly? Is your family in danger? Takes a few mins to change RSPs. In any even ABB aren't in the same league

      • Terrified of what

You need a reading comprehension. I said

        terrified for

Terrified of and Terrified for gives two different meanings!

        • But why are you terrified for them? Are you also terrified for every other business that may become insolvent? May be it's just me but on the list of things I am terrified of/for, an internet provider doesn't get a placing.

          • @gimme: You are missed the point mate. The good ones are collapsing and what we will be left with are the junk providers with less competition.

            • @No ONE: I get what you're saying but terrified isn't how I'd describe it. Concerned, worried may be. I'm terrified of living in a warzone but not of having fewer RSP options. Just a matter of perspective I guess. I'm just being OCD and my pet hate of hearing exaggerated expressions (e.g amazing) to describe mediocre events. Anyway don't worry about ABB, they're solid.

              • @gimme:

                Concerned, worried may be

Nah, I'm Terrified. I'll stick to it and you don't have to worry about me or be concerned!

    • I heard they were 20m in debt. Big investments but could pay off

    due to economic conditions

Such as? A perfectly stable and relatively rich economy? Last I checked our economy hasn't tanked recently (not saying it won't)..

That isn't really an excuse.. probably bad management or other unsustainable business practices, lol

    • They could be referring to their own economic conditions

report shows $52,000 in assets and $900,000 in debt

  • Just wanted to say it's a dog act to just switch off services with no warning. Even buzz gave us a few days notice before dying - and when buzz do a better job of customer service than you, you know you've messed up bigtime.

    • I totally agree… I noticed one of the owners just had the nerve to make a post on whirlpool saying his other company DreamIT is still running and everything is fine…. unbelievable than you can just wipe your hands clean of a business and it's customers and any debt you owe is simply written off.

Lol you really have no idea how the legal system works so I won't even bother. And NO Buzz didn't give us anything, it's just that Vocus may have been slower to disconnect everyone.

Is that you Jamie? What are you even talking about.

        • -2

Obviously comprehension isn't one of your strongpoints as what I've said cannot be any clearer.

          • @gimme: We're not all as cool or awesome as you.

            • -3

@ozoner: Probably not but that's not your problem.

I ended up moving to Kogan NBN which is practically Vodafone NBN :)

    • Make sure you have a backup plan.

  • I moved away when they discontinued the Lightning 100 plan.

  • Prays in Mate Communicate.

I might switch to ABB after my $59/month promo ends around Feb/March I think with Mate Communicate.

I just hope they survive until then.

  • Jamie was one of the shareholders.
