Also available at the Nike store at the Canberra outlet Centre

  • Will there be the City edition NBA jerseys?

    • +1

      No, its a factory outlet

      • Thanks.

  • +10

Speaking from experience there’s gonna be 1-2 hour queue if you are not there before the shop open. Not worth it imho

    • +2

speaking from experience theres' 40% off the lowest tag price/which is lower than rrp there's savings to be had (especially with christmas around the corner you'll be waitin ~1hr at shopping centres anyway)… worth it imho

      • +3

Speaking from experience I've never waited an hour at shopping centre stores during christmas, the longest wait would be woolies or coles for 5 minutes or myer. Speaking also from experience the 40% is stuff they CAN'T sell, hence why it's in an outlet. Peoples minds are skewed as all this discounted stuff is in a store. Imagine it was on the shelf of a normal nike shop at full price, would you truly be buying it? I doubt it as it's something you wouldn't look twice at. It's all the junk they can't get rid of so they discount it heavily. Been before, and it's a pass for me. (and yes the queues are how Robertouno says, long and tiring.

        • +1

Speaking from experience, speaking from experience is the best way of speaking.

        • Speaking from experience, you can find good deals. I managed to buy 3 pairs of Nikes from the Birkenhead store for $125 all up when they had 30% off one, 40% off two and 50% off three pairs of shoes. I managed to grab a pair of Free Rn flyknits in Oreo which were $220 rrp. IIRC they were marked at $140. Granted, this was one of those unannounced sales, but there ARE decent shoes in there.

          • @eciuj: usually they sell good shoes but in colourways that don't sell in stores, hence why they are at the outlet and also discounted… if they were the popular good items, then they wouldn't be in the outlet stores..

    • +1

At DFO South Wharf today around 11:30am. Got in in 20 minutes : )

    • Speaking from experience, it took 1 hour to check out! @ Canberra Outlet Centre, also known as COC

  • +10

Looking forward to XXL clothing when I'm a size S.

    Because Nike outlet

    • +1

are you sure it's not a blanket or cape you're buying…

      • +1

"I was planning to use these shorts as a tent"

  • +1

Damn good sale. I went last year. Sizing was super limited but I got a few pairs of old colourway sneakers for $40 that were like $140 originally.

  • How's the Bundoora store? Does it have a good basketball range?

    • +1

Just went today - to answer your question university hill is probably the worst for basketball jerseys, although there are many basketball shoes though.

  • +4

Please add Brisbane DFO and Jindalee DFO for QLD too. Offers available in store 40% off lowest ticketed price Thursday to Sunday.

I have an email for this.

  • +1

    Is it available online too?

  • I use to love the one on Smith Street, the one in Bundoora at least to me doesn't have the best range of items, particularly shoes imo

    • True, the Smith street one had heaps of really weird / one off shoes. Still good for gym gear.

    • that's because it had samples, which are lines that didn't enter the floor ever. So they were different and no one else had them. Whereas now all DFOs etc for outlets just sell items they can't sell at retail stores. So basically the stuff no one bought or wants…

  • Last time they had this my wife and I walked out the store with piles of Roshe 2's for $40 a pair.

  • Been here before. It makes ALDI special buy queues look so tame.

If you aren't there the 22nd around 10am I doubt there'll be anything left that's worth it.

    • Unfortunately, that beats the whole idea of taking any benefit of the sale at large. If it's a known challenge, it should be addressed strategically by Nike. It's not the best customer experience for sure.

  • anyone know if harbourtown nike store is having this sale?

    • On the weekend harbour town goldcoast had this deal. I got some peagusus 34s for $78

  • +3

If anyone is interested in knowing what's in the Sydney stores, check out https://www.facebook.com/assistersco

  • Does nike have many wide foot options?

    • depends on the model of the shoe, but you can generally just go 0.5 or 1 size up

    • They do have wide in some models (check the official online store) but I couldn't find any wide at the Brisbane DFO store (and even at other retail stores). I've had shop assistants try and get the sale by saying go a size up (with other brands) but this rarely works unless your foot is marginal. Nike running shoes are on the narrow side. Ebay has a good shoe size table that includes the width.

  • anyone have any online codes?

  • +18

Although I'm not working during the sale period, I've worked during the sale periods before. Please don't forget common courtesy to the store staff and fellow shoppers! Specifically with shoes, the most annoying thing are when people take shoes out of a box and place that one shoe elsewhere instead of taking the box with them and putting the shoe back into the box. Even worse is when sales like these take place and it becomes a tripping hazard, which happens a lot. Staff do their best to clean but it's impossible to keep up. Happy shopping!

    • Well Said! i have seen this happen soooo often at Auburn Outlet it's disgraceful. I have even at times made comment to people doing so and they just look at you blankly as if its their right to trash stuff in a store simply due to it being an outlet. It's not that hard to put things back on a shelf or in the box.

      • +1

yeah I see it happen too, people try shoes on then just leave it there in the walkway. Sometimes I even put them back on shelf lol

        • +1

LOL! i have done same! :) the Mrs looks at me like wtf you doing and even some of the employees have a perplexed look. others have smiled in appreciation

  • I managed to grab James Lebron XV Low beige colour for $99. Quite a steal!

    • +6

      James LeBron? must be new

      • lol

      • Number 32 from team Srekal

  • Does South Wharf or Bundoora have the better basketball shoe range?

  • Ever since Auburn had their 'update/renovation' the amount of steals to be found is and can be quite varied. you may luck in yet you really need to dig & just hope you are their at a good time. used to be miles better when they had more shoes than clothes imo as still cant believe the floor to ceiling (almost) classics they had sitting there. back then the quality of shoes they had seemed to be more consistent with current models and selection of vs generic styles. Either way; every time it 40% it is bedlam and you can luck in so be their early AND prepared to line up as it can get quite busy! happy hunting either way 🤘

    • How long ago are you talking about? They seem to be creeping up towards RRP on some shoes, which kudos to them if they can sell it then sell it. But I think most people just keep an eye on it and wait for them to hit discount

      • +1

am going back almost 8+ years or so now.. 90s, 180s & Mowabbs all sitting there in what are now re-released and 'hyped up' and wanted colourway for crazy good prices! yep definitely is almost RRP on some so agree if they can sell at that price why wouldn't they list as such. yet some of the ones listed as close to RRP are less elsewhere which seems a bit counterproductive as to me an outlet is to clear/get rid of excess (?!)
Bang on as that's what we do now - see something in retail land and keep ears/eyes out for when (or if) it hits outlet and hope that more $$ comes off it they hit backwall or a spot sale like 40%. used to go there every fortnight or so - now its every few months or less depending

    • How early would you get there, and how long have you previously waited?

      • first time i did it was there 30 minutes before store open [on the Saturday] a dozen or so ppl were there also
other times anytime before lunch i found was ok. as i have only had one instance when i have had to wait to go in - was birkenhead from memory.
i should clarify when i say line up i was referring to when you are ready to pay - as it is generally quite large due to how busy they are.
I'm too much of a GOM to line up to get into a store [or anything really] these days so cant speak for recent BlackFriday sales there

    • Id rather save my time from waiting these ridiculous queues. I do pop in occassionally and best steal ive had was a pair of J7 Pantones at 40% off. Auburn store that is. But they run 40% off storewide a few times in the year. Just gotta keep an ear to the ground.

  • No example prices in the post. Does that go against policy? One of my deals got switched off for this reason.

    • Nah

  • Does anyone know if the Birkenhead or Auburn store would have Air Force 1s? Not sure because never been to a Nike outlet.

    • +1

      Didn't see any at auburn

      • +1

        Thanks :)

  • Don't bother, this line is 2 hours + and the store is very empty. Crowd control is not a skill which standard sales staff posses apparently.

Suggest bringing a bag and pretending you are returning something if you want to be able to buy anything today…

    • Which store?

      • DFO South Wharf

  • Black Pegasus 33 runners for $30 in wmns sizes 11-13 was a good find. Men's equiv 9.5-11.5

  • I'm at the Auburn store now, I usually go every year and this is the first year that there's a waiting que, there's maybe 100 people outside waiting. Wtf is going on, what's so different now then previous years so all of a sudden there's a craze???

    • My guesses are; new 'react-tech' shoes this year, new Pegasus (now old and prob hit outlets) uses full length zoom now, Nike has been the provider for NBA jerseys for a year so old jersey/traded players hit the outlets, basketball hype building and people want ball shoes which are hella expensive.
Other than that I have no idea…

    • Good luck mate. I've been in the checkout queue for an hour and still not at the front.

      • Do you mind me asking what the things you found 'worth' getting there was? :P

        • See comment below about pegasus 33 for $30. 34s were $60.

Air Max 95 for $90 or even $54.

          Air Max 2017 for $102.

Saw various t-shirts/shorts in the $24-36 range.

Saw lots of girls carrying airmax 270 boxes @$102 as well.

          • @warhead: Thanks for that :) looks like I didn't miss much I guess

  • +1

    got techfleece hoodies - $42 - rrp $140…
    lots of kids shoes $20

    react oddessy $72
    female grey epic react $96
    tees are $12-18

    decent sale
    south wharf melb

It's seriously pathetic, just pathetic, they have hundreds of people waiting to pay and they are understaffed. They pay these students peanuts, nothing, and they couldn't hire double the staff for 4 days or relocate them from normal stores for does 4 days. Disgusting 👎

    • +2

Lines are long in BNE but all the cash terminals are manned so they couldnt process the sales any faster if they wanted to.

Well done Nike BNE staff, doing a great job.

    • +3

I mean all the cash registers are manned and the store is only so big, more staff won't help. They get paid the same as any retail job, if you're gonna worry about anyone it should be the Indian sweatshop kids making these.

  • Just came back from the BNE DFO store 30 mins ago. Just went in there to pick up some training shorts and tees. Took about 5 mins to get access to the trial room but had to wait for 40 mins in the queue to pay. All 8 terminals had staff, they were processing as fast as they could. Can't blame them! There were security staff waiting outside holding the line and not everyone get in the store at the same time!

Speaking to the staff, they only expect the queues to get worse going into the weekend.

  • Uni Hill was decently busy this afternoon, 10 minutes to get in then maybe 45 minutes in the que. Shoe selection wasn't amazing but picked up a few pairs for $40~ each, probably better if you liking basketball / 'street' style stuff.

  • Was at Birkenhead Point around 12pm, the store was crowded and the floor was atrocious, customers just leaving boxes on floor not bothered to put back, customers would trip, the queue was crowded, would wait up to 1-2 hours to be served, there were only 3 staff doing the registers.

    • I was also there around the same time. Store was crowded but there were very little boxes on the floor. Lines were long - 4 registers and approx 35 min wait (I also chose the slowest line… typical!). Managed to get into the change room with no wait. The two staff manning the registers in front of me were nice and friendly. Keep up the good job!

Managed to grab a couple of dri-fit shirts and a jumper. Thanks OP.

  • yeah the line at harbourtown seemed crazy, it went around parts of the store, when last year it was a straight line about forty plus people long. The eight staff smashed it, line was faster than the straight line last year.

  • Went to Auburn today @ 10:15am, line out the door, security letting around 10 people at a time. Waited in queue for approx 30 minutes. When I left the store at noon, the line was DOUBLE.

If you're a 'small' in size for men, it's hard to find.

I suggest prob wait until tomorrow morning and line up at 9:30 or earlier as they most likely restock the goods as I didnt see any staff members re-stocking, just re-shelfing from the fitting rooms.

Edit: Also was anyone there at around 11:30am or so and lining up and this guy shouted out "HURRY THE (profanity) UP" to the staff at the front? He got escorted out from security….. i mean seriously…. why? Was so funny when he got kicked out.

  • Anyone been to South Wharf Melbourne today? planning on going in an hour or two but not sure if it's worth it in this weather.

    • Was there first thing yesterday. Not alot in terms of shoes tbh air max was 110 before discount and vapourmax pk 180 before discount. Clothing was good though as were kids shoes bought a pair of runners for my mum for $35 as she has small feet. Might hit up uni hill tonight as I want some shoes for hooping in.

    • Was planning to ask the same question!

  • Just went to Birkenhead Nike outlet the stock they had was actually quite ugly nothing too exciting. Last year was so much better. They might have better stock on the last day of sale

  • Dfo Melbourne had like an hour line to get in

  • Still 40% off shoes at Nike Jindalee
