  • Can we put our own videos on there? Movies etc for a cheap “cinema” event for the kids?
Any inputs to connect to computer/DVD player? How bright is it? What is the native resolution?

"The projector also includes a USB port which give you the freedom to play any content of your choice."

      • Thanks. Skim reading strikes again.
        Other questions still valid :)

        • Yeha I've done some reading, these will throw about 1M distance MAX so not really practical for movies. They do appear to have speaker (3.5mm)output though. On page 3 there is a similair projector with a preview video.

@rakeycakey: Thanks. Final comment on that forum makes my ozbargain sense itch about buying one, we’re down to $25 earlier……

  • Is it FHD ?

  • Bunnings seems to have lost interest in Christmas gear. At my local they're not replacing stock already, more fans than lights 😥😣

    • Last year our local Bunnings had stacks of left over Christmas gear they were trying to shift for months afterwards. I picked up a fair amount of stuff at what must have been wholesale or probably less. I think they may have learnt from that and are not getting as much stock in this year….

  • This the one? Model LV1987
    https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&c…
    Says:
    Native Resolution 153600(RGB) Pixel
    ??

    • Ah. There you go. Native resolution of 480*320.

      • Ah, of course, yes. Not great.
Would love a little portable one for camping, but anything sub SD res prob isn't a good option.

        • For camping something like a YG300 might be good enough and as a bonus would run off a battery pack.

Yep, not great native resolution either and lumens equivalent to a night light but for watching video in the bush, probably projected onto a sheet, something that does 4K with surround sound would be nice but there's a lot to be said for a sub $50 projector you can throw in a bag and not be too upset about if it dies…..

It appears to be a rebadged "WindowFX" projector eg https://www.amazon.com/Windowfx-Animated-Projector-Pre-loade…

General reviews are - it's not bright, and you have to put it a fair way back, so will struggle to fill a window. The resolution is pretty ordinary - maybe 480 * 320. It will play videos from either the SD card or a USB port, but it is pretty finicky about the format (so if you want to play your own movie on it, it may take a few experiments using handbrake to find the right settings). It has keystone correction, but even with that it is hard to get everything into focus.

I think that at the right price it would be an interesting toy, but at $59 it's still maybe a little too expensive - at that price you may be better off with one of the cheapie things off eBay/Aliexpress like a YG300 as they have hdmi ports, or pay a bit more to get something like a YG400 or GP70 that have native resolutions of around 800*480 and probably slightly better lens, a little brighter, etc. This one is $80 from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com.au/Ohderii-Projector-Outdoor-Theater-…). They may not come with the 'kit' (a weedy tripod, a plastic sheet, and an SD card with some various video clips), but other than the clips I don't see a huge amount of value in the extras….. and you can get the clips separately anyhow…..
