  • Ryobi in another frock….

    • Orange goes better with my skin tone.

    • Aeg garden tools are superior to ryobi in build even though they are from the same company. Not sure about the power tools but I’d assume it would be under the same circumstances.

      • you have to be carefull with which AEG tool you buy. I agree that some are ryobi, but then again, some are milwaukee tools in another colour.
So things like the impact drivers and drills, where they have say about 4 products, the cheapest will most likely be Ryobi but the higher spec units will be milwaukee.
This goes for both garden and tools.

    Hi guys!
Just picked one up at my local Bunnings.
Offer is not just for Powerpass card holders.
Part of a black Friday deal Aeg are doing.

  • So is this a good one to get, or should I be looking at other brands when they’re discounted?

I’d only be using it for odd jobs around the house, not for trade.

Hope it’s not too heavy to handle.

    • put it in your hole for xmas

Could be a hole in my wallet first! LOL

TBH you are better off getting a drill as part of some other combo kit with at least 2 batteries. So maybe wait until you need something else. For example I needed an angle grinder. So I got this same brushless hammer drill, plus brushless impact driver, 2x 5Ah batts, and brushless angle grinder, and a carry bag, for $399. The total value separately is massive so its a no-brainer. But all of these kits come with the drill, so thats why buying a drill kit alone isn't really worth it, because you will probably end up paying more in the long run (or have multiple drills lol).

      • What brand you got?

        • +1

AEG, its the exact same drill (BSB18B2M). The kit is at Bunnings… https://www.bunnings.com.au/aeg-18v-5-0ah-3-piece-brushless-…

Only difference here is the batteries are the 5Ah, instead of the "Force" 6Ah. I have both types anyway and there is no difference, other than the 6Ah is actually a physically taller pack by about 5mm, so if anything the 5Ah is better to wield on these small hand tools - and you get 2 of them.

          • @stumo: I can’t see me using an angle grinder, but agree with the drill being in most kits. Will have a look, thanks!
