Eveready Super Heavy Duty AA Batteries (24pk) $10 @ JB Hi-Fi

40

Free batteries if your use the $10 coupon from previous purchase and Click and Collect.

Was looking for something to use my $10 coupon on (thanks to Hojupeter's deal)

Seemed like a good option!

P.S. I got the coupon from a purchase made back in Jan this year! So it's pretty easy to get the credit.

Just a reminder, don't throw batteries out in the general waste, the toxic chemicals and metals can leak when they erode in landfill and contaminate the environment.

Aldi, Officeworks, Ikea and Battery World have drop off points where they take them for free and recycle them.

    • Thanks for reminding.

Most Ozbargainers are free of this problem. They already stack a few packs of Eneloop.

    • Zinc is not a toxic metal.
Perhaps you are thinking of the old Nickel-Cadmium batteries? Or when small amounts of mercury were used?

While they do create more waste than using NiMH or even alkaline cells, and I would never buy them, they contain nothing toxic.

      • It's probably best to generalise in this situation.

Just a reminder, these "Super Heavy Duty" batteries are carbon zinc batteries. They contain a lot less energy than alkaline or NiMH batteries and are not suitable for use in high drain devices. Practically only useful for remote controls and clocks.

    • Practically only useful for remote controls and clocks.

Except you use alkaline batteries in those too, for the much longer shelf life.
There is really no use at all. Bunnings Varta, Amen.

  • So, if it's $10, still a deal?

Point of this post is to get them for free lol. It's one of the only things that's exactly $10 from JBHIFI, to use all of the $10 credit.
