  • Extra 5% off with the eBay 15% sitewide?

  • Hmm. Wonder will it be as good as in Japan. Those in Japan are very convenient.

    • You would have to go with big brands such as Panasonic, ToTo, etc. However they are hard to find in Australia even on eBay AU. Secondly its the power supply, they use 110v you will need a transformer to use here. Finally they always cost you more than $1000 Oz dollars.

From most review Xiaomi seems to do the job fine. If you are willing to spend a little more there is the Xiaomu which is better than this one apparently.

Are you certain about the power supply?

I would wager that any electronics that are around water would be using DC power (even for heater element), and that if the included power supply doesn't have a 110-240v variable input, that a suitable power supply could be found very cheap rather than needing a step down transformer.

        • You got me curious (curse my inquisitive mind), so I had a quick look. A search of a few japanese toilet seats being sold on the web showed they were all listed as using AC power. A couple of sellers even warned that you'd need transformers to use them in 220-240 volt countries.

        • 240v is available in australian and UK bathrooms, Whats your wager again?

      • The Samsung ones are really good as well and not too exxy

From what I remember from previous posts, these need a plumber to install, but aren't certified for use in Australia, so no plumber will touch them?

    • +1

That may be correct. You would need a plumber who could turn off the water supply, disconnect the cistern hose, and then connect the filter/splitter, and then connect the hose for the bidet and reconnect the cistern hose and check for leaks.
Certainly something you would not want to try yourself, let alone make an install video for like this https://youtu.be/_zY-URVqkGY

  • Did anyone figure out the water pressure issue from previous posts? I've got low nonadjustable water pressure and no water heating.

  • Seems like an appropriate coupon code for this deal!

  • Sorry it's been a long day, I have smart devices in my house but what does a smart toilet seat do?

    Prewarm the toilet seat?
