  • Can I use it together with student discount?

    • I was just looking at the Terms and Conditions but they havent updated them to show the terms for this offer yet
I am actually wanting the exact same answer, when i find out will let you know here

    • It appears that the Gift Card Offer does not display when you enter the Apple Eduction Store.
So it does not look like the offers stack

    • I just tried adding an iPhone to the cart on an Employee Purchase Program version of the site and it doesn’t show the gift card unlike the standard site which does.
So it will show in the cart if it does.

  • All old models.

    • Yup, sadly nothing on the 11" iPad Pro or Series 4 Apple Watch… ah well.

    • Hey, just wanted to clarify for everybody, I've had a look and the gift card does appear to apply to the current models of Mac, iPad (vanilla) and iPad Mini*.

(*I know, that one is long in the tooth, but it's the newest model for those who like that form factor.)

    • Yeah, pretty disappointing :/

  • +1

May not be valid with employee purchase programs. I was unable to view the site while in an EPP, but once I clicked out of it they appeared.

    • There isn’t anything I want to order so I won’t be able to try it but I just tried adding an iPhone to the cart. The gift card showed on the regular site but not on the EPP site.

  • No Apple Watch 4. :-(

  • Not necessarily a good deal for normal models compared to the 10% off some retailers give, but what about built to order? Is there any place where you can get built to order AND a discount?

    • Students can get discount on CTO at apple (but no gift card)
even the CTO options are less as a student.

  • hopefully not a dumb question, but these cards can be used to purchase items from the apple store (cases etc) and not just itunes or the app store?

    • confirmed - It’s an Apple Store gift card so it’s to be used either in the Apple Retail Store or Apple Online Store.

  • +1

    Cash rewards now 3.5%

    • Does anyone know if the Apple Watch series 4 is included in the 3.5%? On a seperate post a dude said it wasn't included but Special Terms doesn't say that.

  • Could you buy AppleCare after the purchase and put the Apple Store gift card towards it?

Reading the AppleCare T&C and it looks like it's possible.

    "How to get AppleCare+
Add it to your shopping cart during the checkout process when you purchase your new HomePod.
Or buy it within 60 days of your HomePod purchase:
Online (requires you to verify your serial number and run a remote diagnostic)
At an Apple Store (if AppleCare+ is purchased separately from HomePod, inspection of iPad and proof of purchase are required.)
By calling 1-300-321-456 (requires you to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)"

      You sure can :)

      • Doesn't look like I can use the gift card for the AppleCare after all. The website doesn't accept it as a payment method, I'll call them tomorrow to make sure.

        • +1

Last year I was able to use the gift card as payment. I did it over the phone however.

  • If anyone has any apple gift cards for hardware and selling them, i can buy them. Need to buy a gen 1 apple pencil.

  • I paid $1499 for the macbook air and got the $280 gift card.

Total invoice amount is $1219. Expected the $1499 amount on the invoice so I get more back on TRS refund and tax depreciation. Is it correct that apple put the net price paid on the invoice like this?

    • Looks like Apple are "selling" you the gift card for full RRP and taking that cost off the RRP of the device.
      Thats a bit SHIT!

  • -1

Shame that the full price doesn’t show as I was also going to buy online and claim TRS

  • Do I need to buy at apple store? Buy apple product in Office work and receive gift card here?

    • Apple store only.. and it ends today

      • Thanks mate. It's too late and also too bad

  • Tried to get the apple store rep to price match OWs iMac 21.5 2.3ghz which is 10% off. Guy said it doesn’t stack with the gift card ($280).
I obviously went the gift card but I couldn’t see anything online about the offer isn’t valid with their price match policy.

    I’m calling it. Thoughts?
(Greedy; yes. Loophole: I think so? Ozbargainer: hell yeah!)
