  • Picked this up along with half price movies, just what I need after the ebay deal

  • Nice, been wanting this since purchasing the VR. But either no stock or didn't want to pay $49 for it.

Today is really unsafe time to check ozbargain site.
I keep buying things that I don't need. My brain says don't but my finger keep clicking the checkout button.

      Free will is a lie!

  • Bought, cheers. Been after one for a while, has been on clearance at Target recently but no stock.

  • Oh sheeeeet nice! Does it hold the move controllers?

  • looks like its gone. Not in link any more

    • Yep. It was removed in the middle of my check out!

      • same. Gotta be quickerer

Target Brickworks SA claim its not an official case on sale, but the 3rd party PowerA case. It has the same product code and scans $20.

    • So disappointed! When I purchased it, on the bigw it had the official case and it even says official PS VR case on my receipt! But they gave me a 3rd party PowerA PS VR case instead.

      What a rip off!

      • I hope mine doesn’t arrive like that, I would definately be complaining if I was you

        • Yeah I hope yours is fine. They are so dodgy, when I was in store I told them, the PowerA PS VR case is not the official case. Looks like Big W has updated their site sometime during the day.

          • @majordaz: Same here. Told it has the same product code?! What the? They must have always intended the 3rd party case and used the wrong image. I've taken it home. Will test it and if I don't like it I will return it. They said they've never stocked the one in the catalog pic…

Edit: on the plus side it's probably a better case if you want a smaller one that is predominantly for the headset rather than all the other parts. Downside is that didn't look like it could fit any move controllers in there either if that's what you were thinking.

@fookos: I took the catalogue in to JBHIFI and they price matched no drama :)

@Awsam: Your ozbargain game is on point.
Now to get my hands on the printed catalogue. The catalogue on the website shows the dodgy version.

              • @Awsam: Thanks mate.

I considered that but they're actually both licensed Sony cases and I'm kind of now leaning to the slimmer BigW version as my home theatre setup keeps all of the cabling and splitter box connected and hidden. I don't pack those components away.

I don't need a massive case like the BigBen one in the catalog to hold all that. I won't be travelling with my VR kit.

The latter holds the headset and main cable - for protection at home that's what I need. I might stick with the PowerA. Will sleep on it.

              • @Awsam: Any chance you could share an image or scan of the catalogue mate?

                Thank you!

  • Pretty sure whoever did the catalog for this screwed up, they pictured the Big Ben case instead of the powera case … the Big Ben one rrps at $69

Edit: oh just read everyone’s comments, great tip on the jb price match :)

  • Got the powera case yesterday for $20. Nice quality case. Has a little pouch inside that can hold something small. Overall quite happy with it.

    • Agreed - a very nice case. Just popped my VR headset into it and fits perfectly. No movement in there when carrying it around. I'll keep it.

  • Can either the official case or the powera case hold the vr processing unit needed for psvr?

    • I returned the powera before I opened it but it’s half the size of the Big Ben case, I’d say only the Big Ben case could hold that stuff

      https://www.gamory.com.au/products/official-licensed-playsta…

    • They're actually both officially licensed cases but, as per the other response, the Big Ben can fit in everything while the PowerA is designed to hold the headset snugly and nothing more. Which case is right for you depends on your storage needs.
I thought I wanted the Big Ben but it is 'big'. I was initially very annoyed at what BigW did with the bait and switch but the smaller case is actually better suited for me at home as the rest stays connected.

      • Yup each to their own :) both cases are decent quality.

I have stand for my PSVR so I only wanted it for the eventual day I want to declutter my entertainment area

        • Absolutely - if you want to hold everything you need BigBen.

There are also some other third party options out there for good or better storage solutions if you want to tuck it all away. The BigBen is a very bulky design.

  • I made a click and collect order on Friday and picked it up yesterday. At the time it was showing the BigBen case but when I picked it up it they gave me the powerA case. Quite disappointed as I was planning to pack away all the cables and processing unit into the case. Will be returning it for sure
