    Are these Russian? I thought Steam region locked these copies out.

      they ask for ur account (if u wish) so they can activate via russian VPN
      so yes region locked for ACTIVATION, but once activated can be played anywhere

    Need to give them your steam acc and password to activate this account due to region restriction. I am a bit hesitant to do that…

    Lemme see now, they are Russian scans of "real" game dvd's (which they will thrown out afterwards, seeing as they are used) but they are not dodgy or anything aallllllllllll righty then totally legit, right?

    the credibility of these guys is certainly questionable

    but i myself bought the russian keys off cdkeywarehouse (another group that posts here) during launch
    they activated my steam account for me cause i cudnt be arsed to do the whole vpn thing

    i dled the english cutscenes and language pack and overwrote the russian files

    and been playing english black ops on steam for months with no issue

    but yes, gotta say cd key purchases are the way to go these days, as if pay EB rates

      I did the exact same thing with black ops and got them to activate as soon as it came out and downloaded the English patch, everything still working fine so far.
