    Regarding these:

    • Slow computer
    • Virus or Spyware
    • Computer startup problems
    • Printer not printing
    • Not connecting to the Internet
    • Scanner not working
    • The "blue screen of death"

I can pretty much solve them on my XP by myself.

Not everyone is as awesome as u ;)

Can u repair my hard drive - it has lot of Bad sectors in it.

      • If it's under warranty I would send it in for a replacement, otherwise get the data off it and throw it out! Modern HDDs remap bad sectors to spare good ones, and only after those have been used up would you see bad sectors, leaving data on there is just asking for trouble.

        • the hard drive showed up bad sector just two days after the warranty expired… - Do this hard drives have time setup for getting corrupted..
I paid good bucks for this LACIE 1 TB. Do u reckon it can be repaired by third party softwares..

    • +2

I can repair most of those by reinstalling XP on any machine… :P

    • +1

      format c: solves everything.

    • I can't believe you got negged for that…

XP pretty much does it for you.

waste of time, they will just up sell you to something thats not free.

  • Several keys in my laptop (HP Compaq 6810b) keyboard does not work after exposed to water.
Possibly need change to a new keyboard.
How much will it cost approximately?
Do you work in weekends or holidays?

    • Get a wireless(Or wired if you want it cheap) keybaord and mouse combo for a fraction of the price you would pay to get your keys changed or repaired..

      • Thanks for your suggestion. But I just do not want to bring with extra hardware :p

    • +1

Your best bet is to call HP direct and ask how much a replacement keyboard would be. Either that or one of their spare parts locations. They are certainly easy to replace, on most laptops anyway.

      • +1

The best bet would be to do what ryang says and get the code or product number for the keyboard.

Hp will probably charge approx 80.00 whereas you can search on the part number through ebay etc for a cheaper alternative

  • So what is free?

We bring you our PC and you will fix it?

  • Free examination and quotes I guess, but if you are not a computer person you might want to check out if their quotes' right…

  • No bargain to be found here.

  • What is free?

Can you come look at my computer, find out what component is faulty, and give me free advice on where I can get the part cheap and repair it myself?

  • +1

lol @ Razorback from last listing, he never returned..

  • +1

    Hi Razorbak!

  • My motherboard died. If I provide the motherboard, will you repair (ie take apart PC and put back together) for free?

    • :) … theres a new excuse to add to "my grandmother died", and "my mother died" ;)

    • yes sure thing!
