  • Seems like an overly generous offer at face value to me! Removing (non-destructively) entrenched virii, adware & malware alone can be a most tedious process at the best of times!

Not saying this is not a fair dinkum offer, but offering to undertake these kind of services can be a huge can of worms (pun only slightly intended)…especially gratis…so I've gotta wonder how many will be 'fixed' with a quick reformat/reinstall!!! :o

Kudos to Massa Tech if it's legit, and if so I hope they get a heap of new regular customers out of it…coz if I were a business I wouldn't do it! ;)

Yea this would cost them heaps, wonder if there is a limit to how many people can take up the offer.

They might try to convince you, that your computer needs extra ram, better graphics card, etc. to make up the cost to service the computers.

or they could give you some virus :)

Hey Guys, Thanks for your comments!

Absolutely no scam here in any way, No viruses added either lol, We will be fixing the Computer so good that the customer is happy to come back to us again if next time they need to for anything in the future!

No pressure for anyone to get any RAM or anything extra installed, Just happy to remove any viruses, speed up the computer and take off any unnecessary start up programs etc and if need be reinstall the O/S!

Reasons why we are offering this deal is because i believe the customer will be happy to return from a good service! :)

How long will this offer go for? Say 100 people take up the offer and takes 30 minutes to fix each computer. You'd be out of pocket quite a bit.

But by the looks of it, it does seem like a good deal.

  • Hi Rep,

I tried to call that mobile number but I think it will be crazy busy today, so I sent through an online form… Please look out for my issue :)

    Thanks

  • Makes sense to me, they've already caveated on-site and hardware (which is the real, excuse the pun, hard costs).

Afterall, they are paying their staff a fixed salary so might as well take on as many "free" customers and fix them up after fixing up the paying customers. Afterall there was no promise of how long they'll take to fix it… :)

  • sounds like a good idea. basically free labour, and you pay for parts. I would limit the number of customers tho rep, the other comments are right, cause service places run on labour hours. You will be out of pocket quite a bit if you dont limit it.

btw do u do hard drive data recovery? i have a hdd with click of death.

edit actually just read the list. you do do hdd data recovery. This kind of service doesnt need hardware replacements right? cuase i dont want the hdd after the data has been pulled out and can provide my own replacement drive

  • Click of death drive often means some very heavy duty data recovery done by Ontrack seagate etc. This is where they take out the platters and use their own spindle/heads to recover data. very expensive option and i doubt these guys will do this sort of data recovery. (Rep - if your not flatout now please let us know.)
I suspect they do the normal deleted/formatted/corruption data recoveries, not "dead drive" recovery.

will be no Christmas Holiday for them :)

  • Hi all came across the ad and was a little scepticle, tried to ring a few times but finally got through. spoke to the guys there and they were really friendly and helpful. fixed my computer withing a few hours. guess i was one of the first to get in. but didnt charge me a cent. i will be going back to them without hesitation.

    Great work! very happy. =D

its funny how people can be so narrow minded about things like this. so what im a new member ive been using oz bargins for a long time. just because i see a bargin does not mean i have to comment. this is what u call a BARGIN! its WAS FREE. how many FREE things do you see on here!.

anyway bad luck for you if you dont take the deal i did and it was great what did i have to loose i had a busted PC that was not doing anything now i have it here and working. it was a win win situation to me.
