If someone really wants in they will find another means windows, through the roof tiles and man hole……..

How many home invasions take place via the roof and manhole? This is designed to use when you are in the home and on doors that are vulnerable when you're not at home like a back door.

The weak point of a door are the locks, this product increases the strength of a door to briyng kicked in by a factor of ten.

    How does it work

  • Just how strong is the timber door frame through, to withstand a good kicking or whatever it is they use to get in? I have Crimsafe doors but I don't like to think about any weakness in their lock and the timber.

Depends on the frame, if it's hardwood and into hardwood framing it can be very strong but a lot comes down to the installation of the frame and the door. Using long screws with this so they go into the frame will increase the strength substantially even if it's a softwood. I would install this under the handle as this is where they will kick the door. There's nothing stopping you from installing two or more as well, these are pretty cheap compared to the cost from some locksmiths in Australia who I suspect import them from the USA.

  • Thanks, good advice.
