    • -8

broke is nothing when you still trying to buy this with negative in your credit card.like what i did…

    • How much did you spend this week? bro, I spent too much

  • wasn't this posted afew days ago already

    • +1

      Yeah.. here :)

      • So why post it again?

        • +4

          Different price

  • i have a old dyson, so dose v10 can use v6 header as well?

    • +2

Nope, connections have changed since the two models

    • I think you can use v8 head, but not worth it to upgrade from v8 imo.

  • Still waiting for the v10 absolute to pop up here, hope it would happen!

      • yes. I posted last week for $802.71

      • +1

Need a deal on V10 absolute with local warranty

        • +5

Do you also want virgins with that?

        • +1

Try Bing Lee here $799.2 + $9 delivery

        • Someone in the last deal confirmed with Dyson that they have an international warranty.

        • Worldwide Warranty on dyson

        • It’s worldwide

          • @Geryatric: You will probably get warranty, but you won't be covered by our consumer law guarantee so no leg to stand on after their warranty period is over.

            • @pauliau: People who want suppliers to provide a new unit after the warranty has finished and and after 3-5 years of use and abuse are everything that’s wrong with the world today.

              • +2

@Geryatric: It's not about getting a new unit every few years, it's to stop manufactures producing throw away crap that dies after 2 years. Remember back in the 'olden days' when a TV was built to last last 20+ yrs? Avg life of a TV today is just 5 yrs (if ur lucky). Today, things are built to fail, not last, and thats why we need these laws.

  • +2

this combined with the shopback 20% rebate.. must build time machine

    • +1

      Limit $50 rebate

  • Some reckon the V8 Absolute deal is better as the animal hard roller head is optimised for carpet and soft roller for hard floor with local warranty.
V10 engine obviously still lasts much longer with better suction though. Tough one

  • What’s the warranty like?

    • Only Amazon warranty

  • -1

    Amazing price.

    Got it for 420.

    cashrewards 12.5%. Then trs/gst back.

People have dealt in a good way with dyson re after sales. Plus the soft roller isn't a big difference. The v10 has slits that allow you to open it and suck bigger objects on hardwood floors. And you can also lift the front part slightly… Not a huge deal breaker lol.

    • isn't that 10%of cashback now?

    • +1

small enough to put on hand luggage for TRS?

    • +12

You would really take this on board and then carry it on your trip for $42??

      • Oversized or bulky items for check in, you may show your items to a TRS officer to get a stamp on your receipt.

Then check in your items and proceed to customs then join the TRS queue as normal.

        • +2

Where to find the TRS officer at airport before entering restricted area?

          • +1

@Seafoodrice: For Sydney. It’s on ground floor the other end of McDonald’s hidden next to toilets and escalators

          • +1

@Seafoodrice: @Seafoodrice, 3 years ago it was located on one level below the departure/check-in hall.
The position of the office was near to the lifts/escalators between check-in counter G & H.

Best to ask Airport staff for direction.
Note that I don't think they open 24 hours

        • How about battery. No battery in checked in luggage. And limited battery with carry on.

I was try to do the same but airline luggage restriction didn’t allow it. Which airline did u travel with?

      • And risk it getting broken. And perhaps confiscated by security because it’s a potential eyeball sucker

      • This is ozbargain mate!!

    • +4

unable to claim TRS as there will no ABN tax invoice

      AND

      https://www.abf.gov.au/entering-and-leaving-australia/touris…

      What can’t be claimed?

goods purchased over the Internet and imported into Australia

      • but we are paying GST on this one..
        still no TRS?

  • Just got v10 ab+ with $798. Not the best deal but can't wait any longer.

  • What the difference between the v10?

  • Still waiting for the animal model to get cheaper, smaller bin in this model is a deal breaker :(

  • +2

I don't get it. Why bother just <$10 saving with Amazon US coming with US plug rather than buying from Bing Lee for $799.2 + $9 delivery with local stock, AU plug and warranty?

    • 10% cashback on Amazon ?

    • +1

BingLee does not deliver to most states .

      • Don’t they…i didn ‘t know that.

    • It’s got international warranty so u just missing the plug

      • is there any other places to get the plug other than dyson website. Dont want to pay $30.

Can we just get the powerpoint that suits the US charger from Hot Dollar shop?

  • How much smaller is this bin exactly? Is it at least the same size as the v8?

    • More or less the same just align like the V10 canisters

  • Thank you OP. Do any of you have a link for an AU adapter? Will it matter if you don’t have a genuine Dyson adapter?

  • +1

This looks like a good deal.
What does the "Absolute" version give for an extra $200 or so?

    • Bigger canister and far more accessories

  • Would JB pricematch the V10 Absolute?

  • What happens to power adapter for charging? Do you need to buy that seperately seeing US version would be 110-120V?

    • according to another op, the aus charger costs $35 and can be purchase through dyson aus only with the serial number of the producet.

      • Ok I see I guess you can't use product code. You would need to get the Aus version code that buy it and hope it works with this

  • +1

This or Dyson v8 Absolute at $479.20 via https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/419149

Lastest base model vs top of the line previous still very capable and powerful model?

    Tough choice.

    • Yeah I said that above. I'm not sure. I ended up going with the V8 for local warranty and hard roller head, also slightly lighter.
If I was in a house I'd def go V10.
