I am surprised that nobody posted this yet. This is V10 that is selling at similar price as V8 Absolute.

It is also significantly cheaper by $150 than recent post ex DWI. Perhaps cheapest it has been?

        I think this is the most basic of 3 options which comes with a slightly smaller bin and less accessories. The other two models sell for $900-$1000 (Animal and Absolute+) and come with more heads, accessories and larger bin. I don't even think this basic option is sold here in Aus, or at least I have not seen it.

          Absolute has bigger battery. Animal and Motorhead seems to have the same battery size. Animal and Absolute have more heads.

              @verio: I think you are right. I misread the description on Absolute saying "Up to 40 minutes of fade-free power with the Soft roller cleaner head (in Suction mode I)" compared to Motorhead saying "Up to 20 minutes of fade-free power (in Suction mode II)" but did not recognize the difference in suction modes.

    Oh I misread; thought it was the absolute. V8 absolute is still the better deal. Both heads are basically needed if u have carpet and hard floors. Motörhead is basically only really effective on carpet.

      Wont previous models like DC 59 animal used to have only one head for carpet and hard floors? They were pretty effective.
      If motor head is similar, it can do hard floors as well.
      Can anyone comment?

        The heads on the Absolute models are redesigned and optimized for either carpet or hard floors. They are way more effective than the multipurpose heads of the older/basic models.

    I tried to get more information about Dyson International warranty - doesnt seem to be much. Really want to buy this deal but am worried about warranty? Who to deal with or are we even covered?

      I spoke to dyson last week after I ordered v7 animal from US. I cancelled the order and ordered v8 animal from dyson as it was on good deal price matching TGG. The person i spoke to mention that it cover warranty wherever you buy it from but will need to get au charger which cost $30. Hope this help.

    Does it mean you switch off motor head which is main reason we buy Dyson cordless?
    Also, willing to know if this head will be good for both carpets and floors.

    dyson's website does not show it clearly if it can do that.

      Yeah so it's exactly that 60 minutes without using any attachments (including the motorhead)

      The head is a multi purpose head, it can do hard floors and carpets with a small chance of scratching the hard floors.

      If you're really worried about that sort of thing, get the absolute+ soft roller head which is a better for hard floors.

          I bought an Australian V10 so I didn't need to buy anything extra. The Australian V6 plug won't fit any V10.

      When i was looking up Dyson adaptors, it does indeed support 110V and 230V. That said, when i asked the Dyson rep online at Dyson AU, they said that we'd have to buy the adapter at $30. Either way, if the savings incl the adapter is more than buying it locally, I'd suggest jumping on it. Also, yes, the Dyson rep confirmed that warranty is international.

        They are switch mode dc chargers like your phone. They will be fine with an adaptor.

      I been using this motor head(Direct Drive Cleaner Head) since the purchase on hard floor so far no problem, I do have Soft Roller Cleaner Head but just cant bother changing it…

      Had a chat to Dyson online, a charger is $35, but they need a serial number to proceed and won't sell without one, forgot to ask about the soft roller head

      Cash rewards has tracked at a sale value of $481.45 (GST off??) and the expected cashback is $60.19, so for me it was a sale price of $469.41.

      Adding the charger at $35 brings it to $504.41

        Yes Cash Rewards also calculated my cash back using the ex GST price of what I paid for the item.

        Is this common practise by Cash Rewards? I can't find any documentation on their website that says they remove the GST from prior to making their calculations.

      We have both the V10 and the Cinetic Big Ball. we now rarely use the Cinetic, but if we are doing a spring clean we'll still get it out as it is more powerful.

      Cinetic big ball - 250 Air Watts
      V10 - 150 Air Watts in Max Power mode.

    Does anyone know if the heads from the v6 model will fit onto the v10 model? Have a feeling they deliberately change them a bit so they don’t fit. Any v6 owners upgraded to a v10 and can confirm at all?

      Mine took a little longer than normal for Amazon… but got my order shipped notification this morning. Ordered 2 nights ago.

      FYI this deal is still on so shouldn't be marked as expired. Price slightly changes due to currency fluctuations but it's still similar.
