can anybody use search on newegg properly? N82E16820158748

    • Thanks.. nice find. added into OP :)

      • good job

  • Out of stock on GeIL one. 😪

    • +2

      Geil back in stock.

  • The Geil is OOS .

I got the GSkill last week and it worked in my Ryzen systems at rated specs . Took nearly 3 weeks to arrive .

  • yeah it was a good deal..

  • +1

Red ones appear to come out to $143.76, unless I'm missing something…

    • You're right, red one is cheaper.

    • Yep you're right, I just bought them earlier and was about to comment about it.

Edit - got an order confirmation looks like it's legit

    • Yeah Thanks.. looks like red one price dropped after this post as looked it before and price was same like black ones.

  • I usually buy Kingston ram which never gives me problems, is G.skill reliable?

    • +2

G.Skill is good Ram. Unlike Corsair that are complete bastards when it comes to warranty, G.Skill & Geil will directly RMA should the need arise.

Corsair on the other hand require receipts, and will only RMA their Ram in the country it was sold in.

    • +1

G.Skill is the most trusted RAM brand by enthusiasts.

I wouldn't buy anything else, but don't take that as bias.

Been buying it exclusively for 8 years now. Never a dead stick and all overclock well.

  • +1

Is this compatible with the ryzen5 2600?

    • +2

Yes I tried it in 2 systems both X370 mobos with a 2600 and a 1700 Ryzen worked at rated speed in both systems .
      I didn't bother trying to overclock .

      • Thanks should be no issues with the MSI b450 mobo? Planning a new build and just bought the Evga 850w. Planning to create another acc to purchase this ram

        • +2

If you run into problems you just need to underclock the speed to 2933mhz.
It's not difficult to trouble shoot and find a stable speed for it

Ryzen DRAM Calculator app should make things easier to overclock if you need to

        • Worst comes to worst sell it on Gumtree for profit .

      • Any mobo preference for Ryzen5 2600 or 2600x and these RAMs?

      • Are AMD RAMs different normally? One of similar RAM description says Intel:
        https://www.newegg.com/global/au-en/Product/Product.aspx?Ite…

        • All DDR4 works on both platforms, AMD specific modules are just better DRAM chips with optimised timing because the first Ryzen 1xxx series chips were extremely picky with RAM.

With 2xxx series it doesn't really matter as much and all of them work with i CPUs.

            • @O O: Scrimshaw did give a hint of underclocking in case of any issues.

  • Can I use this in a laptop?.cannot seem to find the answer

  • I bought a logitech harmony from them. Does it come with AU or US Adapter as it is shipping from US? Is the purchase useless here?

    • The charger is a 100V-240V device so you can use it here, but will most likely (I doubt newegg provide one with purchase) need a US to OZ adaptor to plug in to local sockets.

  • +2

thanks got them for my new build! cheers

    • How is Geil EVO 3000 above compared to G Skill in main post?
I can see Latency of 16 above compared to 15 in G Skill though is $14 cheaper.

      • In term of real life experience, I don't think the latency of 1 makes too much of a difference for most people/general public.

        • Bought the G Skill one.

  • Currently have CMK16GX4M2C3000C16 trying to see what ill have the least compatibility issues with timing wise. bit weary with mixing brands was looking at the lpx vengeance rgb ones that are on special to atleast stay with the same manufacturer. any suggestions lads?

  • Ordered.

Next time I buy it will probably be 32GB of DDR5, at least that's the plan.

  • I always think these are brake calipers from the picture

  • Ordered the red, was the Black one for the same price?

  • seems to be sold out?

  • Does anyone know if the warranty of these G.Skill RAM is international or we need to contact newegg?
