      A friend did it in first class Emirates a few years back on the A380 (SYD->AKL). That plane includes the option for a 15 min onboard shower!

        I did it too for CHC-SYD. Had a shower, some Dom Perignon and Chateau Margaux, great food, a fantastic use of QF points… 5 stars.

            @Tech5: As a morning flight, just turn up in PJ's - 3 hours to shower, do your hair and make up, a bite to eat in time for landing fresh and ready to step out into Sydney at 9am.

      Upon boarding, one is served champagne and canapes, then a five course lunch, with wine. Ten minutes after that we serve sandwiches and scones, then after that dinner, followed by a cheese board and liqueurs. Then you're force fed a whole box of chocolate truffles… We darken the cabin for a few seconds, and then we serve a full English breakfast.

    I flew return syd/ AKl with Latam during June, for $690 and qantas charges $500 for return economy and those two airline literally sharing the code.

    Food was so not up to business class standard , I had a wrap or salad that I can’t remember, but it was something cold (even Syd/mel business class serves hot food)

    seats is comfortable though, I had a good nap even though it was only 3 hours flight
