  • How would this go paired with Xbox One X?

The 49" X7000E (last years model) that my brother has goes quite well with it! Looks great.

I've got the 49" X9000E, and the HDR is a little better - the darks are more vivid.

Biggest gripe with the X7000E is that there is no HDR Game mode. So hdr games on normal HDR have a slight bit of extra latency. No problem for games like Red Dead, etc - but more noticeable in competitive shooters. Whereas my X9000E has HDR (Game) mode, with similar latency.

Quick and easy to switch between game mode and HDR mode though, and for all I know this may have been fixed in the F version.

If you're looking for a big TV for cheap though - this will definitely be a great one.

    Was $1195 yesterday and Monday.

Price went up to $1395 this morning, then settled on $1245 this afternoon.

I'd wait…it will drop further imo.

    • You describe like its the stock market

    • and its $1395 again…

Compare this to 7500, is the only difference the OS? As 7500 is the android, Rest of the spec should be pretty much the same?

How does the X7000 and X7500 compare with the Hisense P7?

    • Been looking at them as well

  • Nice been looking at a new tv to replace my 10 year old Sanyo.

    Thanks OP.

  • I have had a Sony android TV and non android TV and would definitely recommend android.

    • I never owned an Android TV before. What feature does Android TV have over Smart TV + Google Chrome or Android TV Box?

      • I don't think there's much else, but in that scenario you're looking at an extra device, an extra remote etc

      • I believe you can install the only known working (for tv's) youtube adblocker if you have android. Leaving this here and will come back later with a link

  • I have an older Sony and android TV is horrible

    Really buggy

    • My 3 year old Sony TV with Android works great! So many apps, Kodi runs smoothly, plays nice with my Google Home and Sonos. Fancy screensaver app connects to all my social networks to show me and my friends and families photos, interspersed with the lovely animated fly-by scenery ala Apple TV.

I've seen the Smart tv operating system alternatives, none seem to have an ecosystem anywhere near as broad and active. I'm interested in others opinions though?
