  • Cheers!

  • Since Coles IPO these guys have been doing a lot of coupons etc. Only problem I see is that web shop is very slow at checkout if you change products or delivery options. Anybody else sharing this impression? Tried with 20+ products (wine bottles) in cart and it was soooo sloooooow. I am happy with a deal, but not if it takes a long time to check out to celebrate the saving. Don't forget 20 dollar free shipping offer that was around yesterday here on OZB.

  • What a frustrating online store First Choice Liquor has! My wife likes a particular white wine they sell, so tried to order it. Get to the last step of ordering, and says they are out of stock. Change to another store, this time verifying that they have stock. Get to the end of ordering, and it says no stock again. I twig that they must have less stock than I want (a grand total of 12 bottles, hardly a massive order). Slowly reduce the number of bottles until it accepts the order. They had a grand total of 2 bottles in stock! Yep, that's right, it's "in stock" with just 2 bottles of an $8 wine. What a waste of time with such shallow inventory! Just tell us how much stock there is, if it's the stock situation is that bad! Order better yet, let me order and pay for it now, and pick it up in a week when you get more stock, I'm fine with that. Or best of all: get more stock in!

Edit: Just checked every store in Sydney, not a single store in the whole city has 12 bottles. Far out, that's insane, a population of 4.5 million in the city, and they can't even supply 12 bottles of one of their bog-standard mainstream wines from any store in the whole city, nor can they deliver it. I don't have this problem at Dan Murphy's!
