  • Hrm, it doesn't say how much they weigh, basically one of the most important things to know when buying extensions.

Actually I think one of the most important things to know when buying and wearing someone else's hair on your head is whether it came from a cadaver or someone was forcefully shaved to obtain it. Believe it or not 90% of these hair extensions come from these two sources or from hair obtained from ritual religious shaving in India.

I can't believe we've reached the state in our society where we literally shave the third world and wear their hair on our heads. Because we can.

      cool story bro

Fair comment, and you are welcome to put those here, but its not the role here to use a vote against a deal based on your personal political/ethical beliefs. If this is a bargain for those wishing to buy these items then voting against it is against the guidelines here. Hence my vote against your vote, not your comments.

If we play that game, then where do we stop… Vegetarians vote down meatlover pizza's, those anti multinational corporates vote down coca cola, or voting down duopolies like coles/woolworths and so on.

Or what about taking advantage of deals for aid workers to Japan, cheap flights as they add to the carbon footprint, speakers made off the sweat of Chinese rural slaves, cheap beer from Dan Murphys, killing local retailers and our youth on the roads….. all maybe, legitimate comments, BUT NOT for VOTING against.

I'd love to see some evidence to back up that claim, i've never heard any solid evidence that hair extensions come from cadavers, it's always people like you posting on random forums. From what -I- have read up on, or seen, most hair comes from poor countries such as russia where they are paid a small sum of money by a hair collector to shave their hair, they do this to support their family. Asian countries again, sell their money for small sums of money to support their family. I am sure there are rare cases of it being stolen (i heard something about it being taken from prisoners, i am not sure if this is true.) but it would not be profitable for someone to go searching out dead people in the hope that they have young, healthy non processed hair.

With that said, I am aware that it is obtained from ritual shaving in India as well.

From a BUYERS perspective, it is important to know how much hair you are getting for your money, as I am sure someone who wanted to buy this would be unhappy if there was not enough hair.

Not 90%, Luna is correct. A very large portion comes from people from poor areas selling their hair for a small amount of money to feed their families. Is it sad? Yeah, but no sadder than the kids working in sweat shops so we can get $5 t-shirts for example.

      Not at all neg-worthy.

  • Actually, I asked all your advice because I've been subscribed for awhile, and when I have the chance amongst juggling 4 kids , I do value reading some of the opinions posted on here. I have previously been burned on the net and I noticed this site doesn't accept Paypal, hence my post. Out of curiosity what am I supposed to say on my 1st post???
