    • Thank you!

  • Any recommendation for kids between 4 - 8 yrs old?

    • +23

      Make sure they brush their teeth, use their manners, and look left and right before crossing the road.

    • +1

      Probably don't give them access to your credit card.

    • But not to be silly congo what sort of games do they like? Some of these might be a bit out of their league. Have they played games like Sorry, or Blokus? Carcassonne may be a good one to start with around the 7-8 years, and in this list King of Tokyo is pretty good fun from around that age.

        They are into the Wii & ipad atm. Trying to get them off it…

      My 5 and 7 year old like playing Kingdominio

      • I will try Kingdominio & King of Tokyo.
        Photosynthesis looks good for me and wife. Is Near and Far recommended ?

    • +1

      nothing there for 4yo, but get Kingdomino and they can grow into it.

      King of Tokyo is like Yahtzee with Godzilla and King Kong so that might be OK too.

      both great games.

      The Little Orchard and Carcassonne.

      Hey, a good place to start for little kids is Love Letters - very simple and easy to learn but won’t be in this sale. King domino is probably next easiest. I play a lot of quartz with my kids who are a bit older which is a push your luck game where you grab crystals from a bag. Once they can do games like that, things like machi Koro, and even citadels are good - but provably in a couple years.

    • My kids are 8, and we have played the original version of Roborally. great fun, and a good introduction to coding. Also a good game for adults.

      • Yeah I was considering Roborally, but there was complaints that this version is not as good as the original?

        • Ive never played the new version so can't comment sorry

    • It's hard to get a game to play well for the 4yo & to keep the 8yo off the iPad. I totally get that problem and it's one of the main reasons I have got into board gaming.

      IMHO, the trick is to pick a game that the 8 y.o. will want to get to the table and that plays well enough that can allow the 4 y.o. to team up with up with an adult or older child so they're still involved, picking up the rules and playing by themselves before you know it.

      A few options jump to mind that might appeal:
      * Love Letter
      * Takenoko
      * Sushi Go/Sushi Go Party
      * Concept
      * Flamme Rouge
      * Lanterns
      * King/QueenDomino
      * Azul

      I'd also highly recommend trying Skulls & Roses out. We currently just play it with an Uno deck. Here's the rules -> http://www.skull-and-roses.com/pdf/Skull_rules_Us.pdf

  • Guys, with cash rewards. Can you do it on mobile?

      They have an app I think.

    I enjoyed Compounded. I know it's a strong science theme that can put people off - but it's a simple game.

    I bought Codenames, Codenames Pictures, and One Night Ultimate Werewolf for $52 total. Thats a hell of a deal!

  • Thanks OP, got king of Tokyo and photosynthesis.

    Near and Far shows as $96 to me. Am I missing something?

    • Same, I guess we missed it.

    • It was discounted, but they are out of stock it seems.

    • If Near and Far any good?

  • +2

    Near & Far doesn't seem to be discounted? Appears as $96 for me

    • It was discounted, but they are out of stock it seems.

  • how does camelx3 work exactly
    it is showing near and far at its current price of $96 which is right
    but it also shows the lowest price since nov 1st as $89 which is untrue as OP's deal had it at $55 until it expired
    unless I'm doing something wrong

    • +1

      it probably didn't pick up in time maybe it was a very quick $55 sale

  • I'd place an order with a few other games but want Near and Far so just waiting

    edit: bought king of tokyo and kingdomino. looks like photosynthesis also out of stock now so skipped that.

  • Shopback (better return than Cashrewards today) says cashback not available on items purchased from Amazon US. Does this count as a purchase from Amazon US or from Amazon AU?

    • Cash rewards?

      • 5%, Shopback is 6% hence my question.

        • Just a heads up. It worked on Cashrewards. Got my confirmation email today after ordering last night

  • gutted, waited all day, added cart for queendomino, went to checkout, sold out…. FFFFFFFF

  • 23 games still left

  • My order got cancelled!?

    • What game?

      • Photosynthesis and Kingdomino :(
