  • Can this be integrated with Phillips Hue light?

    • via IFTTT or home assistant

        • +3

I think you would be better off getting the hue motion sensor

      • Would work with LIFX too, yeah?

And what’s the lag like? Will I be able to raid the fridge at night and get back into bed before it triggers?

        • I'm sorry but I don't think you can get away. It's only 1-2 seconds delay.

        • +6

Rout it through your NBN and you should be fast asleep before it goes off.

$7.95 delivery tho as no click and collect

    • +1

Mine showed up as $6.99 for express delivery, dont know why it was cheaper. Not bad as I managed to use the $10 off coupon as well.

      • Delivery to parcel locker is only $4.99

        • Damn, was too lazy to populate parcel locker address.

  • +1

Might want to add (Limit 1 per customer) So that doesnt make postage any cheaper

  • so with postage its more expensive than RRP

  • How does it compare to mi motion sensors

  • +2

It's not officially supported by Home Assistant. There is a custom component out there for the sensor but not very responsive and slow to trigger automations. Better off using Xiaomi aqara human motion sensors.

IFTTT triggers are also slow to turn on lights etc but with Home Assistant is a little faster. However it's still decent for triggering less time critical things like alarms

    • Thanks will stay with Mi motion sensors

  • 😳 I bought a Sylvania sensor for AUD38 today to go with my echo plus. Damn.

  • Sensor is sold out

  • +1

Motion sensor is no longer showing up on JB website.

    • OP can you update the deal? Motion sensor is no longer available.

      • Looks like JB has fixed the issue and stock is available.

  • For a moment I though D-Link started making dishwashing pods

  • Would be perfect if this is battery powered, else only good in hallways.

  • I use the siren with my arlo system via ifttt. Any of the backyard cameras detect motion, the siren goes off

    • So if a bird flies past the camera your siren goes off? Must be nice for the neighbours

      • It has never detected birds or any other animals.

        • Does it even work?

What "other animals" have your tried?

          Moose?

  • I have d-link motion sensor, smart 240v power outlet, and camera, (all d-link and all linked to dlink home app and accessible remotely).
Could I use this, when a motion is setoff, I get an alert, then access camera feed, then if I see someone there, then run the alarm ? At my discretion rather than an automatic sensor then alarm thing.
I somewhat don't trust these things to only go off when they should (a mouse could set it off, for example) so I would like to view camera feed, then choose alarm/siren to go off if I see someone there.

  • Back in stock, but now $24 each.
