    Yea, dual carplay and Android auto would be preferable. Having one or the other could really shoot yourself in the foot later on.

      The Sony XAV-AX3000 and Sony XAV-AX5000 have both. You can sometimes get the XAV-AX3000 at about this price.

  A new facia panel and wiring harnesses are required with retro fit car play, can cost hundreds.

  Was quoted $190 just for car facia to suit, can buy on Ali for $30.

    My wiring was $16.50 and the facia (with usb and aux) was $30 buying aerpro gear from ebay. Can get expensive if you're wiring up steering wheel controls though.

  The biggest downfall of Sony units is when you have more than 1 driver. You have to pair Everytime to swap phones. A massive oversight by Sony , it isn't 2008 anymore
