has band 28 which is a real bonus, does it have NFC ?

just bought nokia 7 plus for $525, if this has nfc it would have been a contender.

Be nice if the Mi 8 lite came as an android One phone, but at this price if it has nfc it's not a big deal.

  • How is this compared to the Mi Mix? Mainly looking for the best phone i can get for under $500

      mi8 lite Snapdragon 660 vs mix2 Snapdragon 835

JB have the nokia 7 plus for $549 at the moment, got one today for $529 …android 8.1 out of the box, they are upgrading to pie already, it's android one and treble compliant, has band 28 and nfc and AU warranty and AU charger if you can stretch the extra $29 over $500 ….very impressive phone for AU over the counter stock and 2 yr AU warranty.

Snap 660 seems more than fast enough for me.

      • Thanks for the reply. How does the Nokia 7 compare to the Mi Mix with the Snapdragon 835? Bigger battery & better camera?

    • Try mi mix 2, can be had for under $400. Mi mix 2 is better than this in every way except for camera.

Don't believe the "15 days exchange warranty".

I had to raise a paypal dispute. They tried to deceive me, and waited until the last minute to respond.
Very unpleasant dealing with Coolicool if anything goes wrong.

And no slot for betamax tape…

        • I'm fine as long as it has VHS

lol at all the DH haters negging…

  • GST? Delivery? How reliable is the seller?

Check previous deals. Not very good, but at least you are covered by paypal. As for warranty, I'd rather go with a more reputable Chinese company. Maybe they will learn, if they want us to buy their goods.

  • Still waiting on them to ship my order from prev deal. No response to emails. Will be raising a ppal dispute.

    • Not even a week has passed by and you would already raise a dispute.

It said ship within 48hrs. I like getting on the front foot especially when they aren't contactable. Also live chat is never onkine

        • You've been on this site for what, the last 8 years and plenty of comments, which would suggest you are fairly knowledgeable about Chinese shops and that what is said, doesn't mean it really is. People have received their packages all the while it was still saying not sent. Before you jump the gun, you should give them time as PayPal doesn't give protection for a few days, which you should know too.
          First world problems

@bargainparker: lol not sure where you have your nose out of joint. I'm well aware of the quirks of purchasing from Chinese sellers. I ordered based on the fact that they said it will be shipped within 48hrs and I have my own reasons why I don't want to pissfart around if they don't have any stock. Rather cancel and get it from somewhere else. Everything on this site is a first world matter so you're not being particularly insightful. Not like I'm ranting and raving. Just taking the necessary steps to move this along one way or another.

@gimme: People have received their items all the while it was not even saying it was dispatched. Also if you checked previous deals by CooliCool, you would know their reputation, so why you expect it to be different for you, I don't know, because looking at previous deals you would know it wasn't smooth sailing. Just laying facts here. Gearbest was bad too till they got their act together.

"Everything on this site is a first world matter" Everything? So Coles and Woolworths too? I guess you don't need to eat, wash your clothes, buy a phone so your boss can reach you when he/she needs you… and you don't need this one, you can just buy this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/421617. I'd love to see you go out naked and try explaining that to cops.

This might be first world matter https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/422771, but not everything.

              • @bargainparker: facepalm…move on

              • @bargainparker: you were saying mate?? I opened a Paypal case and they finally responded saying that they have NO stock and wanted me to buy something else and pay the difference. So yeah nah, escalating for a refund.
