It does, I thought the same till I tried. Applied the free shipping perfectly with exactly $25.

  • +1

Tah. I'll add to the unplayed pile.

    • +1

      It's called Pile of Shame.

      • +1

I call it the future regret backlog.

  • +1

thanks very much got doom, dishonored and fallout.

not sure how i will get through them all.

time to park the salt mine which is overwatch.

  • +1

Thank you. Hopefully will get to play them some day.

  • +3

Bloody legend! Bought all 6 games and picked them up from Blacktown just then.
All had cds and download codes.
    $5 for Wolfenstein 2 instead of $89 on Steam…

    • would you mind posting how the codes come after you used them please

      • They just come on a little insert

  • +2

6 great games delivered for 30 bucks via shipster.

    thanks op. great deal.

    • how do i use shipster properly i click on it and it still shows shipping fee

      • you need to log into the account that is associated with the one you registered for shipster and you need to meet the minimum requirement of 25 dollars

      • it applied automatically. i think the email address for the shipster you registered for and the retailer you shop for must be the same. then it recognizes automatically and you dont need to do anything else.

    • Oh damn thanks for the tip man. You just saved me $8 haha. Cheers.

  • so the codes can only redeemed once right? a noob question i know.

    • +1

Yes, they are unique. Once used, the license will be permanently tied to your Steam account (or ESO account in the case of Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind)

      • but could it be installed to another pc via dvd-rom after redeeming the code?

        • +1

Sure, as long as you are logged into the same account that it was activated on.

          • @HomeAlone: you mean steam-wise? dont they run without steam?

            • +1

@baldur: Fallout 4, The Evil Within 2, Dishonored 2, DOOM and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus are Steamworks only.

The discs don't even contain the full game. It's just the first ~5GB. You still have to download the remaining 20-40GB through Steam.

        • Games don't work that way anymore on PC.
Everything is tied to your digital accounts (in this case steam) so make sure to protect them.

  • Wow $5? Holy moly.

The only thing that sucks about buying PC games from stores is that they haven’t moved on to a new storage medium

Why can’t they just include a USB drive with the game on it

Who has a DVD drive in their system nowadays, even office laptops don’t have them

And I’m on a limited internet plan

    • Cost is why.

    • Wouldn't be worth the money to give you 30-100gb usb and with all the updates and whatnot. where would you start.

    • $1 case + $1 packaging + $1 DVD + $1 plastic wrap = a lot cheaper than 64gb USB imho also for the collectors it looks nicer especially if you have an older collection of DVD and CD cases on a shelf or something but yeah they should give the option I reckon maybe online or something for the USBelievers.

The only thing that sucks about buying PC games from stores is that they haven’t moved on to a new storage medium

Who has a DVD drive in their system nowadays, even office laptops don’t have them

I'm not sure when you last purchased a PC game at retail but the vast majority have changed the storage medium.

Because games are too big to fit on DVDs anymore and hardly anyone has a Blu-ray drive in their PC the games sell in a DVD case but inside of the case is just a sticker with a CD key that you activate on the respective download client.

And I’m on a limited internet plan

      Oh.. time to change ISP

      https://www.aussiebroadband.com.au/nbn-plans/

      https://www.exetel.com.au/broadband/nbn

      • Exetel have been and still are great as a long time customer.

But with the Aussiebroadband deal and unlimited data at 50mps id go with them.

        • Aussie broadband have much better support and a higher quality backbone but for a more budget friendly option Exetel are certainly a great choice and I prefer these 2 ISPs to the big 3.

      • Been getting a couple of games that dip past at 5$ from EBgames etc and they all had a DVD along with a steam key.

Im already on a 250gb plan from Spintel which is similar to exetel but cheaper by 10$. (60pm)

Dont have nbn yet in my area and my unit is new so the stupid lead-in isnt connected either (ie no ADSL)

Cant afford to download 50GB games from steam, most of the time I end up downloading fitgirl's repacks at the end of the month since they are 10-20GB.

        • Ah yeah i've seen more than a few people say they get the fitgirl repack then put it into the Steam folder and validate it to save on the download quota, the install time is certainly very long with the high compression she achieves though.

          • @Agret: yeah but there is always that added risk of malware being installed deeep into the system :(

  • Fallout 4 $5 at Amazon au. Free delivery with prime account!

  • $8 shipping for a slip of paper with a steam code?

    • Australian retailers nailing it LOL

  • Thankyou OP bought 3 :)

Got all 6 games with free delivery via shipster, good times ahead.

  • How old are these games? decent graphics?

    • Recent so decent/good graphics.

  • I think they have sold out on Wolfenstein 2 :(

  • I think they have sold out of everything in VIC.

  • Called up the store at Alexandria to see if I could grab it today. He told me they had a crazy amount of orders so it probably wont be ready till Monday/Tuesday due to stock issues.

    • That might explains why I still have not received email from Taren Point store to collect my order.

    • Got mine today.

      • Still have not received an email to pick them up yet.

  • I'm waiting on my order too.

  • Tried to price match in JB for Fallout, it worked :)

  • +3

I ordered Fallout 4. Harvey Norman sent me Fallout 76 instead. Would be great, except I already own it and really wanted Fallout 4 :/

Edit: Their online support is useless. They can't check stock levels of Fallout 4 to see if they can put a copy aside for me. Apparently I have to go to my local store to sort it out myself, even though none of my local stores are showing stock. If I can't get my hands on a copy then I'll just sell Fallout 76 online for profit.

    • +1

Reckon you can get more than $5 for Fallout 76? ;)

  • Trying to buy at checkout but I'm getting no option to ship and it says pickup isn't available. What gives?

    • +2

      You're 2 days too late.

    • No stock

  • Did anyone get an unexpected refund from Harvey Normal for the Wolfenstein 2? Mine just arrived without me requesting it.

    • On "Fri, Dec 7, 5:40 PM (4 days ago)" I got an email saying my order has been delayed as Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus - PC is on backorder.

Yesterday, "Mon, Dec 10, 5:31 PM (7 hours ago)" I got an email saying it has been shipped. No comment on the other 3 games that I ordered.

  • Still waiting.

  • Been over a week and order still 'pending'. Have asked for an update but zero response.

    • Same here :(

      • They cancelled my request for an update then have the nerve to ask me to fill out a survey about my 'experience'.

Meanwhile the order still sits as 'pending'

        /golfclap Harvey Norman.

        Peanuts.

  • Order got cancelled today. Took them that long to realise. I hope they go under. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Don't care for the consumer. How long do they take to say we cannot compete your order???

    Never again.

  • Did a fully online order, no click & collect
Haven't received anything yet but their Facebook bot is helpful….

The Chirnside Park pickup notice is especially confusing

  • 3 out of 6 games have been shipped. all separately though.

    • I got 3 messages about separate shipments but the games arrived for me today as one package.

  • +2

Absolute ridiculous service from Harvey Norman. I ordered Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein 2 on 6/12/2018 (click and collect), only received received one email the order has been placed and they have taken the money from my Paypal, no email since. Called them up at the store as well as online service, told no stock at the store and I have to cancel the order, and try ordering again and choose Delivery as the option, but the sale has ended now. No choice but to cancel and wait for refund. Hopeless service I have to call and chase them up myself, wasting my time at work. And Gerry expects us to pay more for the local service, screw them for this atrocious service.

  • +1

Fallout 4 was cancelled for me today. Had to go in store to ask them what was going on. They told me it was going to be cancelled. An hour later i got an email saying my order was ready… except the store was in another state lol.

So i emailed again asking whats going on and i got a call saying sorry we will cancel your order.

    • Still haven't received my $5 refund lol

  • harvey have certainly engaged full derp mode.

got an email today requesting a user rating still no confirmation email yet.

called the store apparently my order has arrived for collection instore presently.

havn't bought anything from these guys for years, can't see that changing for many more years.

    because i am a 'professional'.

  • My last game arrived yesterday (Wolfenstein 2), took a bit over a week to get them all.

  • i have got 5 out of 6 games except doom. i am still waiting for it to be shipped.

  • Anyone having issues with Harvey Norman? I paid $30 for 6 games (2x Evil Within 2),(2x Wolfenstein 2) and (2x Doom).
I received 1 of each game (3 in total), and am still waiting on the other 3. However, upon using live chat, they claimed it was already delivered, which I explained in my case, it didn't arrive with the other 3 games. I've been messaging back and forth and to no avail (they claimed they will report this to the customer service task, it's been a week and a half and nothings happened).
