Any good for gaming (ie. PS4 pro)?

Do you think the better deal is on the 55” 9000F (just under $1500 I think with the discount)

Hang out for an LG or Panasonic OLED for just above this price in the boxing day sales instead.

Yeah but not for a 65" though..

So you’re saying the 65” OLEDs are going to drop by half price in a few weeks? Can’t wait!

      • Nar. But it is better quality at 55"

  • Very nice price.

  • Could anyone comment on the picture quality compare to the Hisense P7?

    • you can get Hisense 65P8 with price $1744 or $1752 with ebay voucher PRIZER

      • The Hisense P7 is already local dimming vs 8500 as a edge lit? Does that mean that P7 interm of picture quality is already better? Then P8 would be even more superior?

The Sony and Hisense P7 are both edgelit. But the Hisense has local dimming and VA panel compared to low brightness and contrast IPS on the X8500 with no local dimming. I've got a Samsung NU8000 and Sony X9300E there's a world of difference in the local dimming from the Sony. I'm guessing Hisense wouldnt be as good as the Samsung, so not sure if it's going to make too much difference with that feature. I would say comparing the P7 vs X8500 that the Hisense would win especially with contrast and brightness (including HDR with much better blacks) but the Sony has better viewing angles, motion, upscaling and software internally. Things that most people don't really bother about. Always look for a VA panel when buying a TV. Brightness and contrast are at least tripled against the lower IPS panel.

  • Just tried the same on Sony Bravia 65" KD65X9000F Ultra HD Android TV and comes up to 2,251.00 delivered.

Edit: Sorry, saw op already mentioned this.

Do you think the 9000F is worth the extra $550?

      • 9000f has local dimming which is better for HDR.

      • Sony X9000F is equivalent to the Samsung Q8. Has the best motion for any TV because of the pixel response time and great upscaling. Over 1000 nits brightness so incredible for HDR content. Runs Android so you can install any app unlike the other big brands who run their own limited operating system. Plus it has Dolby Vision for Netflix, Amazon, 4K Blu-Rays, etc. Be in the top 3 LED TV's of the year. Sony Z9F and Samsung Q9FN are the others. So yes it's definitely worth the extra $500
