Hi guys,

Samsung 970 EVO 500GB which I believe qualifies for an additional $15 cash back with the Samsung Cash back offer: Thanks Dowey

Computer Alliance seems to be on the list of participating vendors. Ends up costing $117.05 ($139 - 5% - $15). Don't forget cash rewards for an additional 1% off.

Also should use either:

  • These seem really cheap and tempting to buy, just checking would these fit in a B360 motherboard? i assume so although i probably wont need this much space at the moment. Will these get cheaper next year? if so i'll wait

    • +2

They have been going down in price. Hard to tell if they will continue to decrease. Not aware of any be technology that will supersede these.

As for compatibility just do some research on the motherboard you want to buy and ensure they have a m.2 slot with nvme compatibility. Is generally a selling point so likely will be easy to find.

The B360 chipset definitely supports NVMe M.2 drives, so you'll probably find most (if not all) boards will have a port for it.
As Jtam01 says though, check your specific board manufacturer and model though.

Tax invoice for cashback claim ?

    • I have purchased a 2tb ssd from them via Ebay and it came with invoice that has an abn that matches the one on samsung cashback page and the invoice says eligible for cashback. Samsung also confirmed they will honor the cash back if the purchase is from the store regardless of how it was purchased.

      • Great thanks, ordered :)

  • Is this deal good without ebay plus?

  • It was $149 a week ago with 20% off. I am waiting for Christmas deals.

    • Supply and demand will tell. I was on the same boat for 2TB ssd but decided to pull the trigger after looking at little stock on Ebay. If you don't need one then wait.
