    25$ for 16 gig I think thats decent. I paid 28$ 2 months ago

BTW on the ebay link, it says class 2 but your description says class 4.. which is it?

  • I got one 3-4 months ago for $34 so good deal. I got a class 4 from the seller although the picture illustrates class 2.

They've done this before, labelling it as 2 different classes. See here:

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/31864

    • You should want a Class 2 16GB sandisk, they are actually faster than the Class 4's. (both still meet Class 4 standard obviously) its just the older sandisk Class 2's exceed it by a fair amount compared to their C4's.

Thought Class represented the speed in mb/s.

        • No its minimum sequential write speed.

Recently, all cards are being classed much closer to their actual speeds, which never used to be the case. The big manufacturers used to massively understate the actual speed by slappin on a low "class" rating, but not anymore, which I guess is a good thing because it removes the guesswork. I think they used to do it to differentiate their genuinely faster cards, so they saved the higher class ratings for their more expensive cards, so they could charge appropriately.

So it was just a note that the Sandisk Class 2 16GB cards are in that old method, where they are much higher speed than the class suggests - and in fact much higher speeds than the newer Class 4 Sandisk 16GBs.

Damn that turned into a bit of an essay.

      • thanks for the info, now it confuses the f**k out of me lol

so it seems like these new class 4 cards are re-badged and work slower than the older class 2s?
did Sandisk decided to go do some evil things all corporates do?

  • 4 and 8 gig is class 2 or class 4?

  • OMG its shoppingsquare.com.au's ebay site! And not a single neg!

    • not sure what you problem with them, but i only shopped with them once. bought 32gb microsd a few months back was no drama

edit: you said todays deal is class 4 32gb, but seriously i cant even find any class 4 32gb microsd from sandisk website!

  • Guys,

i found this one on ebay. it even cheaper than what apusauction is giving..

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Kingston-MICRO-SDHC-32-GB-Memory-Card…

is it better please suggest ? i am looking to buy 32gb one.

    • careful, I bought one of those cheap $49 32GB micro SD cards on ebay. I made sure I paid with Paypal as I had doubts about the authenticity. Just as well - they were fake (failed H2testw). I emailed the seller and got a full refund immediately, no questions asked. Obviously he knew what he was selling.

    • Only 4 comments left behind from buyers - all positive, however is only 4. I generally only buy from large number positive feedback - however even this has backfired in the past (fake cards).

I think with the original post they are really selling from a store (shopping square) - which gives me somewhat more comfort.

    • Don't bother, it will be fake.

  • Hi, I noticed that the rep still hasnt responded to a large number of questions by people on this site. I am still interested to know if these are genuine Sandisk micro sdhc memory cards or not? The real Sandisk mSDHC cards have a laser print in a dark redish colour under the 8GB SDHC writing on them. The pictures dont seem to reflect that. While the rep hasnt used the word "Genuine", it must be made clear to potential buyers whether these are genuine or not before we make a purchase.

I've bought sandisk cards from ShoppingSquare/Apus several times, they have always been genuine.

      • In my opinion, the two things that determine whether a Sandisk card is genuine:

        1. Has the laser printed code on the card.
        2. Is in Sandisk packaging.

Have the cards you've purchased in the past had these two things? I havent bought a memory card online before nor purchased anything from Shopping Square so I dont know what to expect, hence the questions.

for ebay's situation there is a third point,

3 - is a reputable memory card seller with massive positive feedback on Sandisk products.

  • I paid $35 a month ago for a 16GB SanDisk and that was the cheapest I could find at the time. I need a couple more of these so I added it to my watch list on eBay. Is this a regular price or a one-off?

  • A few months ago there was a deal here for a 16gb card for 28 delivered. Very good quality card from a shop. Don't buy stuff like this on ebay unless you want a fake and really slow card, which would make your phone really slow as well.

    • This is getting more common isn't it?! Same thing with the Sennheiser headphones I've been looking at. So many counterfeits out there. Shopping online is really becoming hit and miss. :(

Shoppingsquare/Apus may have crap customer service, but they're one of very few safe sellers of flash memory on eBay.
