Interesting deal, but as always there are T&Cs:

A non-refundable service fee of $30 per person, per one way journey applies to Contact Centre bookings. Price correct as at 9 Dec 2018. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights. Customers who purchase fares using Airpoints Dollars™ will be required to pay in cash, the government & airport costs. Prices may fluctuate due to exchange rate and tax movements. New deals may be released at any time. Airfares may be extended.

I did find some decent prices though, e.g. Sydney to Wellington return for 2 people for less than $450 return in early March! You might have to dig around but and I managed to find SYD-WLG return for $300 as well in early May - not too bad! All bargains listed are of course the cheapest fares (no seat + 7kg carry on, no checked bags)…

  • I need to go to Auckland in 2 weeks. The prices are so ;(

  • It's really not clear whether you're getting a return airfare discount with the discount code with Air NZ because their prices are per flight. It doesn't seem to be giving me any additional discount but I'm not sure.

    • You can see the discount and amount applied to your booking on the last page (annoying, I know, since you have to put all your details)…

    • Edit: I searched for the flights individually and they are coming up $100 each more so it is giving the discount. Nice!!!

  • Had a look at flights and doesn't seem to be $200 off even though says promo code prices and also mentioned YOU HAVE SAVED $200

    Without code
    MEL>AKL return $424.00

    With Promo Code
    MEL>AKL return $295.00

    Amount Saved $129.00

maybe in NZ they use a different calculator to Australia

    • Yep, there are often issues with their sales and prices but I thought I'd still share it in case someone finds a bargain :)

    • Haven't you heard, the government says the law of mathematics doesn't apply in Australia?

  • BNE > CHC:
    Without code $438
    With code $318
    Savings: $120

    Nowhere near $200.

  • I would love to go back to NZ.
Not only is it a beautiful country, I have rellies there I'd like to visit.
However, flying PER to NZ is always about two to three times the price of flying PER to almost anywhere in SE Asia - even though the distance is less than twice as far - and I am too cheap to wear the rip-off.

    • Have you tried taking a cheaper domestic flight to Sydney or Melbourne first then to NZ

  • Amex deal for a few more $ of if paying in nzd? Though fees might cost more.

    • Saving $5 NZD.

      Dont bother lol

      • This is ozbargain.. $5…a 5% of $100 egift card..a 10% off $50 ebay code… Worth 200 + votes minimum ;) choice cheapies get around it.
