  • Good Day,
You can get it for same price U$179 from Amazon US & usually their delivery charges to AUS are lower:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B4KPFKM

    • Amazon is ~ AUD255 with shipping.

  • Shipping cost??

  • Depending on the shipping charge you might be better off getting it from Harvey Norman for $317 if you dont mind white (black is strangely $30 dearer). You would get local warranty and possibly even cheaper if you take it to officeworks.

    • A further update.

There is an additional 10% off at Harvey Norman now - $285 for white and $312 for black for anyone still interested.

  • Seems like a good option for HN 50 bucks off with Amex deal, brings it down to 267.
Amex deal is min $350 spent.

Just a word of caution on this handset - the camera is terrible, especially in low light. You might as well use an etch-a-sketch. (https://www.amazon.com.au/Etch-A-Sketch-Freestyle-Toy/dp/B01…)

The unit I had also died inside 6 months (bought it at JB a while back though so warranty covered) and needed to be sent back to get repaired. I might have just gotten unlucky but I wouldn't buy another Nokia based on my experiences so far.

Did I mention the camera? It's really, really bad.

    • Thanks for the heads up. For me a decent camera is a must on a phone these days.

Have you had any experience with the camera on the Nokia 7 Plus?

      • +1

I have the 7 plus …camera is as good as my lg v20 ….software plays a big part so also depends on revision …. Currently on pie …..you can load the pixel camera software if you like ……

  • Bad compared to what

    • sorry - compared to every other similarly priced phone i have had experience with including Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen), G5, X4, & C, Samsung J2, Asus Zenfone, and my sadly boot looped Nexus 5X.

disclaimer: these are phones family members have had too - i don't go through them that often!

  • anyone recommend well priced mid level phones ? I was going to buy a few to take to friends (local Khmer, not ex pats) in Cambodia as gifts.

i've found the motorola "moto" range to be the best bang for buck and you get a reasonably pure version of Android as well. i was weighing up between the "X4" and "G6plus" and went with the "X4" - mainly as it was that bit smaller. my wife has the "G5" and son has the budget "C" which after 2 years of high school shenanigans is still going strong!

the "G6play" model is under $300 but carries lower specs and doesn't have the USB-C fast charger which is a must have in my book. The standard "G6" 32GB is around $350 and well worth the extra $ whilst the larger "G6plus" is around $450 with 64GB. I picked up the "X4" for a little under $400.

  • Just a bit of feedback on this phone. I have the asian dual sim model (4GB + 64GB Storage) and it will constantly drop calls (on Telstra) at random intervals, sometimes 2mins in, sometime 10 minutes, sometimes 45mins in BUT it will drop the call. The earpiece has also gone bad with sound coming thru muffled and distorted.

Shame as I really liked this phone for the money (paid $300 in April). Will need to get off my arse and send it back for warranty.

  • Officeowrks price match?

    • Try and let us know. Worth a shot.
