I've never worn a Hoka before and the shoes look hilarious. However all the nostalgia people rave about how light and plush the OG Clifton is — 221g for men's US 9 with 24/29mm stack high, great for both faster tempo & recovery runs. Clifton then grew fat with more padding & denser/more durable midsoles where Clifton 5 feels like a totally different shoes. Hoka One One then brought back the OG. Lots of mixed reviews on YouTube.

    What an unusual comment! If you had seen them, you would realise the sole is not as thick as it looks, but sightly wraps the side of the shoe. I have 3 pairs of Hoka and they are the best shoes ever.

      Yeah I know the sole wraps around the side — the forefoot is already 24mm, and it looks even higher than that! I guess no one cares when you are running, but people probably wouldn't buy it as streetwear sneakers.

    i read into the HOKAs before and tried a few on, while they are good, they are not worth the hefty price, i would prefer to get 1 pair at this current price.

    even though they look bulky and heavy, they are not, and feels pretty much same as as your standard runners
